Vecellio Hotel Venice

The rooms are minute, the TV, 2 inches from the ceiling, unable to watch if you wanted

We found the hotel very good and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was small but ok. Very close to Fondamente Nuove ferry stop.

Very nice hotel, we were lucky to get a room with fantastic view over the lagoon.

We've stayed at the guest-house, wich is very nice and cosy, in an old bulding (renovated) ,just 3 minutes away from an important "boat-bus" station. The owners are young, very nice and helpful. the breakfast was simple but ok. The rooms are nicely decorated ,very clean, the bathroom has all the modern facilities; the only problem was that ,being an old house, you can here your upstairs neighbours running through the room (maybe it should be a rule about this for the guests ...in ALL the hotels, 'cause even in the new hotels you can EVERYTHING from the hall or other rooms). The price we got through your site was VERY good, last time we stayed in the continental part of the Venice (Mestre) because of the big prices on the island. I would recomand this hotel to anyone.

Date: March 17, 2008 We spent 5 fantastic days at the Guest House Piccolo Vecellio. Newly-renovated and intimate, it's run by the warm and accommodating Beata, and features 4 charming, comfortable and ultra-clean rooms. Included were delicious breakfasts, featuring fresh coffee, juices and pastries, and an assortment of spreads, cheeses and yogurt. The Guest House is perfectly located in the heart of Cannaregio - just enough outside Rialto and San Marco to escape the crowds and enjoy the experience of “living“ in a Venetian neighborhood, but close enough to walk to both locations in 20 minutes. The Ca d'Oro Grand Canal vaporetto stop is a 10-minute walk, and Fondamenta Nuove - where you can get a boat to the airport or Murano - is a 5-minute walk. Beata consistently went out of her way to assure we had a pleasant stay, and provided us with invaluable dining, sightseeing and traveling suggestions. We recommend the Guest House to friends and family, and hope to return ourselves!

The hotel was ideally situated right in front of the Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop. The view of the Lagoon from our window was beautiful to wake up to, including the Alps in the distance. The staff were extremely accommodating as we were staying with a 16 month old. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and had all the necessities, including an in-room safe. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!

Have stayed 2 nights at the Piccolo Vecellio guest house. We loved Venice and loved this cosy guest house even more! The hosts were super friendly and had great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations! The rooms were clean and pretty sizeable. Location was great, since venice is small, we could practically walk everywhere. Breakfast was simple and reasonable. Would highly recommend this accommodation and definitely will pick this guesthouse again the next time i visit venice. =)

The hotel, we stayed in Piccolo Vecillio, small guest house, was beautiful and we were met by Matteo and his lovely partner Beata (Beatta). The room was perfect, with beautiful fittings, s good shower, and lovely bed. Service was absolutely fantastic, both personal and friendly, and Beata is enthusiastic and helpful. We appreciated insider information, like parking at Mestre and getting the train, (saved 19 euro per day), and standing at the bar to drink coffee. Well done. The hotel was easy to find and in a quiet dockland area. Take Ferrry 42 or 52. Highly recommended. thanks

The hotel is nice and clean, near the waterbus. Easy to airport to an form. 15 min walk to Marcus squrare.
