"Reception staff didn't exactly knock themselves out trying to be pleasant. Room was nice, but no printed info about room or hotel facilities -- you have to find these electronically on the tv. I gave up. No menu or other info in the room re the hotel's cafe or restaurant and no printed info about internet. (I asked, and it was all at a fee -- no free wireless in the hotel.) Tourist info is behind reception desk, not accessible to guests. Convenient location just opposite Southern Cross Station (and DFO), so easy access via Airport Express bus, but not so great for good restaurants for evening meal, as you're surrounded by empty offices and not many cafes or restaurants. "We stay at this hotel every year and have noticed that it needs a bit of a freshen up this year. Specifically things like lounge chairs and reception suites. Level six room was adequate but very noisey. The staff on at breakfast time were polite but seemed preoccupied and table service was limited or zero. " - Anonymous
