"The hotel location and rooms were of good quality and well maintained. the atmosphere and staff were pretentious. However, the restaurant food was overpriced for the quality.
The lobby staff quoted a price of 75 euros airport fare when the standard taxi fare is 40 euros. This is apparently typical of Rome, a city where tourists are treated as easy marks in a sting game.

"The Victoria Hotel Rome is a clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location close to the Borghese Gardens where you can relax in the late afternoon after a hectic day of sightseeing and/or shopping." - Anonymous
"Myself and my wife, had arranged to meet her sister and neice at The Victoria. We had come from Ireland and they had come from Canada. On their arrival at past midnight, the staff changed their room, and arranged it so that we had ajoining rooms. This amplifies the type of attention, and helpful attitude that makes The Victoria very special. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. Only complaint, beds a little too hard and pillows far too hard!!We will again stay at The Victoria on our next visit to Rome. " - john giblin
"Great little hotel. Rome is pretty compact so you're never more than 10 euros away in a cab from any attraction. Rooms smallish but so are all city hotels. Rooms were well kept though, clean and tidy with good air con, TV and mini bar. Staff helpful and attentive. all in all, really good value, would certainly stay there again." - Alex Verrey
