Viktoria Hotel Vienna

"A very 'homely' hotel run by lovely people. My three day visit was most enjoyable and wouldn't hesitate to return there. I only rated the facilities as 'bad' because there was no residents lounge or bar. However, that does not detract from the hotel itself as there were plenty of places to go within a short distance. "The hotel is well positioned for some of Vienna attrations and has an underground stop very close to the hotel with easy access to the centre of the city. We were not impressed with the breakfast and the service was rather basic. The hotel was overpriced for what it was we changed hotels and got a similar priced hotel with facilitie and service far superior to the Victoria." - paul billows

"This is a small family run hotel in Heitzing. Around the corner from the Park Hotel Shonbrunn. Heitzing is a residential suburb of Vienna about 4 stops on the U Bann. It is right across from the Shonbrunn Palace Palm House entrance. Rooms are small, old and traditional, but clean, shower no bath, but it is the only hotel I ever got scented toilet paper in! and the cheapest I have been in so far. Breakfast was disappointing - bread, coffee & cheese, and there was nobody else eating there. Not to be compared in any way with the Park Hotel experience, but if you particularly want to stay in Heitzing and cant get the Park Hotel it is almost on its doorstep and certainly very good value. "The location of the hotel was easy to get to from the main station. The hotel was 5 mins from the Schloss and in a quiet area. The rooms were simple and clean, and it's a lovely area to stay out of town. " - Anonymous
