Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa Hotel Albufeira

I have stayed many times at this hotel .The rooms are bright and airy because there are no other buildings neither at the front or back of the hotel.The management is trying to improve the amenities but the 'Duck & Pond' Pub is not really suitable for a Portuguese Folklore Show.Although there is quite a hill climb to the hotel from the beach facilities,the supermarket and excellent Riviera Confectionery next door makes up for that. The parking facilities are more restricted now that the underground car park is no longer free.I hope to return nevertheless

Excellent hotel, little out of old town and beach but Transort available free of charge, 4 or 5 times daily To town center. In any case a cute little train stops outside the hotel every 25 mins, gives you a tour of Albufeira and drops you in the center, all for 2 euros Children under 11 free. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this hotel.

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone as the location was superb, not to mention the on site facilities. I would definetly go back!

The barmen on duty on Fri 7th Dec in Dog & Duck pub were rude. There are more polite ways of getting clients to leave the bar at the end of the evening.

Compliments all round good value for money and ideal location for the old town Albufeira. Great choice at breakfast and the tourist fun train stops outside the entrance ...so cuts down on walking up from the square. e found the staff very helpfull when ever needed.Will book again for sure.

The service at Cerro Alogoa is below par for Vila Gale group - reception, bar and dining room experience was mixed with less than helpful attitude.

Very good four star and worth the rating. Staff very helpful, easy to get to and no need to use a car for the main tourist areas. Well worth a stay.

I booked into this hotel for 4 nights in March. I intended to move to another resort for 2 more days but the weather was good, the hotel was excellent, very clean, airy, spacious. The buffet breakfast was absolutely brilliant,very fresh and a great selection of food in very pleasant surroundings. It was great value, centrally located, will be back very soon.

THIS HOTEL WAS PERFECT FOR OUR HOLIDAY, IT IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE "OLD TOWN" FOR COZY RESTURANTS AND BARS AND THE "STRIP" FOR SOMETHING A BIT WILDER. THE STAFF TENDERED TO OUR EVERY NEEDS. THE FACILITIES OF THE "DOG AND DUCK PUB" AND THE TROPICAL INDOOR LAGOON MEANS YOU DONT HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOTEL IF THE WEATHER GOES A BIT "ENGLISH". THE EXTERIOR POOL IS DIVINE. IF YOU GET CHANCE TO VISIT THE ALGARVE BOOK THIS HOTEL YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED.

This hotel has exceptionally helpful friendly staff. Very clean & totally organised.The breakfast buffet included in the price was excellent,relaxing with a huge choice of lovely food. This is a perfect location for the Old Town, the Strip & many major conveniences.
