"Excellent business type hotel, although we used it for a weekend break. Room service charges were very reasobnable as was the hotel bar. The hotel doorman was particularly helpful, going out of his way to ensure we had all the information we needed. If coming in to Porto airport, use the light railway which takes you right into the city for 1.4 euros (January '08 prices). Hotel about 10 minutes walk from the main shopping street and 20 from the Port area. A fantastic place to eat is the Restaurante Triunfante, directly across the road from the hotel entrance. They speak good english, serve excellent Portugese food for very reasonable prices - try one of their huge bowls of home made soup as a starter for 1.25 euros! Be careful though as the portions of the main courses are very large - leave some room for the home made deserts. " - Stephen Newton
