Our second stay here and still they still operate with consistantly high standard. Highly recommended by us and we shall use them again whenever we need an hotel in Portugal.

Helpful staff whose English was good. Hotel not in the best area with taxi journeys to the historic parts essential. Good breakfast - evening meal gave limited choice but food OK.

Excellent business type hotel, although we used it for a weekend break. Room service charges were very reasobnable as was the hotel bar. The hotel doorman was particularly helpful, going out of his way to ensure we had all the information we needed. If coming in to Porto airport, use the light railway which takes you right into the city for 1.4 euros (January '08 prices). Hotel about 10 minutes walk from the main shopping street and 20 from the Port area. A fantastic place to eat is the Restaurante Triunfante, directly across the road from the hotel entrance. They speak good english, serve excellent Portugese food for very reasonable prices - try one of their huge bowls of home made soup as a starter for 1.25 euros! Be careful though as the portions of the main courses are very large - leave some room for the home made deserts.

Perhaps we were lucky that we appeared to get a free upgrade to a "senior suite" on the 18th floor but the views were great. However the hotel was excellent although in a slightly grotty area of town. Staff were helpful and the restaurant very good. The "senior suite" was very good but I suppose shouldn't represent the standard of a normal room.

The bar decor and atmosphere is not great, but the service and selection was great

Good value spacious accommodation with metro, bus and taxi transport services close by.

Enjoyed our stay here. the hotel provides a really nice breakfast and also a good value buffet at E14. Quiet and comfortable.

Very good hotel with a Big minus: the swimming pool is charged seperately and is not included in the hotel fare.

Personel speak very bad English, even at Reception. Cleaning ladies are loud.

Good accomodation, very nice gym and pool etc. Good selection for breakfast but Recommended overall. 5 euros for taxi to main tourist area.

We were very well received, reception very friendly, facilities very well maintained amd we had a really good stay in this marvellous city!

Excellent hotel, in a great location, with well furnished and spacious rooms all within a 10 minute walk to the town centre. The leisure facilities were limited due to refurbishment. The top floor Gym is well equipped with stunning views of Porto. The pool and Jaccuzi were also of a decent standard.

This hotel is a little out of the way but has great facilities and the buffet breakfast included is brilliant! The rooms are quite decent as well. Would go there again.
