"Arriving for our first visit to Madeira late in the evening we decided to stay overnight in a hotel close to the airport before driving to our rented cottage on the following morning. "Have just spent 10 days at this hotel chosen because of good online reviews. Was not dissapointed. It was superb. Staff and service were excellent. Food was typical portuegese which is not to my taste.Breakfast was very acceptable typical european which is ok plenty of choice. Did eat out locally as had tried the a la carte restaurant in the hotel which was not as good as I expected after saying that I do not eat fish and a lot of the dishes were of fish so understandable I did not have too much choice. However the facilities were superb Treatments were extra but hotel had good deal for September.Proximity of airport was not a problem It was fascinating to watch the planes come and go on the short landing strip. It is not the busiest of airports so it was not a problem. I could not fault this hotel and the price booked on the internet was an extra bonus.It was very relaxing Great outdoor pool and overlooking the ocean best of both. I am now looking forward to my next visit " - Mary Ash-Wilson

Hotel description:    The hotel it is situated in front of the picturesque Villa of Santa Cruz, surrounded by the imposing mountains of Madeira. It is 15 minutes from Funchal., 10 minutes from Golf Court, 5 minutes from the airport and 500 metres from the water park of Madeira.

It is a new Hotel that has 262 rooms, 2 restaurants, 3 bars, outdoor swimming pool and a kids swimming pool. Payable SPA with indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, Massage therapy, and a gym. The hotel also offers a Games Room, business centre, and a conference centre for 500 people.

There is a shuttle service from the hotel to Funchal city centre

Getting there: After leaving the airpot go direction to Funchal and turn out on the first exit "Santa Cruz". On the first crossing turn left and here you will find a roundabout. here you will turn out on the second exit and go strait until you find a second roundabout where you will go almost all way true "3 exit" and you will find the hotel on your right hand side.
Car parking: Payable parking available on the floor -2 of the hotel.
