" When I saw the hotel from outside I was impressed, bautiful glass doors framed in highly polished brass. The reception staff and the night staff were very pleasant.The staff was very helpful.Hotel room was pleasantly decorated.It was quiet at night so slept well in a nice cool room. The room had a safe to lock your things away but you had to pay 18euros (£17ish) for the week to use it which I think was mean- a minor negative. Breakfast was fine....mmmm lovely coffee, orange juice and tea, too. Breakfast was a choice of various breads,jams, marmelades, cold meats, cheese, hot mushrooms, sausages, bacon (more fat then meat..did not try it) and scrambled egg which was nice and for those with a sweet tooth, pastries. It was only 150 yards from the beach, 5 minutes walk to the train station to get the train to Barcelona (about 25 miles and only 6.90euros return and only 2 minutes away from the shopping street.Great for shopaholics!Would I stay there again? The hotel Vila is a hotel establishment situated in Calella, the touristic capital of the Maresme coast and distanced 45km from, Barcelona, with whose metropolis it is connected, thanks to the C32 motorway (previously the A19) and 40km from Gerona airport.
This three star establishment of a family tradition, the fruit of three generations, offers through personalized attention, modern and comfortable installations thanks to the recent and continuous programmes of refurbishment and modernisation undertaken.
The principal public areas (reception, salons, cafeteria) boast a decor of welcoming sobriety, with air-conditioning and different ambiences.
Our restaurant 'La Parrilla' is one of the principal attractions to be found in the hotel.
With a capacity of 40 persons, one can sample here the main Catalan/French specialities and traditional sea-food dishes of the area, exquisitely prepared and served.
The conformation of our establishment is of 177 rooms 11 singles and 166 doubles. We al so dispose rooms called V.I.P.'s and our bridal suite with two terraces and Jacuzzi, Courtesy of the house for the wedding night, if the celebrations take place in the hotel. |

Hotel Vila is situated in Calella at 45km from the city of Barcelona and can be reached by the C32 motorway (previously the A19) or by the NII highway Gerona bound. From Gerona airport we are at 40km arriving by the A7 motorway or NII highway Barcelona bound.
Within the urban centre of Calella our ubication is in the old town,at the centre of the locality, on Sant Josep street No 66. |
