A concept in which the traditional Sasak architecture of Lombok is combined with modern amenities in a very unique way. The traditional Lumbung roof functions as an upper floor bedroom and can be reached from the adjacent big balcony, a spacious open-air living room-area is underneath. The large semi-open bathroom at the backside can be accessed from the bedroom via a staircase (from an opening in the floor of the bedroom) or from the downstairs living area.

The rooms are half houses that have large sleeping and living areas, they also have a Balé (a spacious lounging area) integrated in the room which can easily be used as a bed for children or foran extra person. Each room has twin beds that can be moved side by side to become a double bed. A mosquito net can be provided though it is rarely needed. All Deluxe Bungalow rooms have spacious semi-open bathrooms.

"This hotel is one of the best, if not the best hotel on the Gili Trawagen Island. It is clean and well maintained. The location of this hotel is excellent with the majorty of the resturants and bars on your doorstep. This hotel also has its own ATM machine (only one on the island, has an excellent dive centre and staff, a doctor in the hotel 24/7. Overall this hotel is excellent value for money.
The only negative in my opinion was the service in the hotel beach bar which was very slow but this is the same in every resturant on the island and in general it is well worth the wait. Also the laid back approach of the staff provides an excellent relaxing atmosphere. " - Anonymous
"Originally booked a Lumbung room and had to move. Rooms are small, cramped. Bed is on the ground and access to the bathroom is via a narrow doorway and steep ladder/staircase. Perhaps culturally interesting, but not user-friendly and comfortable.
Moved/upgraded to a wonderful family room.
Aicon didn't maintain a cool temp, so a bit hot for sleeping.

You can arrange to be picked-up on arrival at Mataram airport with our combined spacious A/C car+speedboat transfer service (the price is available on request). Arriving at day-time it is the best to choose the route via Senggigi,the main tourist area on Lombok.
It is a breathtaking road, winding along the hills right above the coastline. With its many still untouched beaches,the mountains in the back and the 3 Gili Islands nearby,it are one of the most beautiful roads on earth. You will board our speedboat at Teluk Kode (Private Harbour of Vila Ombak),bound for Gili Trawangan. This trip takes just approximately 7 to 10 minutes. |
