This is a quaint, nice hotel with historic facade and small, clean rooms. Reception spoke English and were helpful. The best part was that the hotel is located very near the RER station so it is possible to take the train from the airport and then walk to the hotel. It is also near a shopping area with bakeries, fruit stalls, small grocery stores and restaurants. The room itself was fair. The shower was a bit dodgy, as the shower head holder kept on falling down so it was difficult to get the water pointing in the right direction.
Nice and inexpensive hotel (website) - but: 1) Today ANY 4 star hotel should offer free wifi in the rooms. Villa Montparnasse does not ..... 2) The roommaids are impatient - and might be a nuisance if you don't let them into your room before 10 o'clock in the morning.
Nice hotel and friedly staff.
We had a nice quite room on first floor. It's close to the metro, and to the busses to and from Orly. Close to the hotel there is a market where they sell fruit, fish and cheese. Prebook a sightseeing tour on a segway - it's the best experience ever!
Villa Montparnasse is a great choice for budget travellers. The rooms are cosy, (I've stayed in smaller) and the facilities are basic but for this location and price you can't complain. I recommend this hotel to anyone who are in Paris to see Paris and not there hotel room.
Overall the service and room was adequate and suitable. Internet service could be improved but the hotel staff were more than helpful to put us in a room that had the wireless service all day. This we found very good service to help.
Easy access to the great Paris Metro, and a very interesting local area. Great for restaurants, and a local village atmosphere. Richly furnished, but a bit dated. The double rooms are a good size, not like a cupboard as they are in some other hotels. Breakfast is extra and expensive, but there are great value bakeries and cafes 75metres away, so eat outside the hotel. Overrall good value for so close to the action in Paris.
The hotel does not deserve four stars. Room and shower cabin are very small. There is no internet in the room. There was an old TV in the room with poor vision. On the positive side, its location is central and reception staff was very helpful.
Friendly, helpful staff; good location; good facilities. Only criticism was that the breakfast was overpriced at 14E. Much easier (and more interesting) elsewhere.
The shower was leaking somewhere so we had wet carpet in the room. The bathroom itself was very small but clean. I guess it depends on the room location, ours was facing the main street, it was very noisy since 6am in the morning. Also have to mention the receptionist who either happened to be tired that day or just didn`t like foreigners in general, he came across quite rude. I thought the price for our stay was a bit too high.
Excellent location only two blocks from the metro, so easy access anywhere. Friendly service. Rooms are small, but live with it...it is Europe! Great value for the price.
Ascenseur trop souvent en panne
Lovely, friendly staff and very nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel charge us 3.6 Euro az tax, although the price we had paid for hotel was covering taxes.
A typical Paris hotel. A bit cramped for 4 star hotel Good breakfast but expensive
A small typically Prisienne city hotel suitable for a sort stay. The room was compact though clean. The breakfast was quite average and typical for a French hotel. A useful hotel in the Montparnasse area.
the room was very small and old, i was surprised that it has got the 4 stars. but i could say, it was not bad for the price and location.
I was pleasantly surprised. Located very close to Denfert-Rocherau métro station. Very nice, clean, well-sized rooms and a lovely bathroom. Staff were helpful and friendly. Staying here felt very luxurious indeed.
The hotel is OK for the price but don't think it's real 4 stars.
The rooms were reasonably spacious, clean and comfortable. The location excellent short walk to Metro, shops and restaurants. The staff friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
