Village Inn Hotel Te Anau (The)

Great looking all looks like shop fronts large rooms micowave, stove good stop before heading to milford sounds

We liked the place very much but those with disabilities need to be careful choosing rooms. The only access to our room, which was comfortable, was via a flight of steps but we were not told of this.

Large rooms and very friendly staff who went out of their way to assist us.

Although the furnishings are a little dated, they have been well looked after and the cleanliness of the room was great. Also the size, it was huge. The reception staff were very accommodating and despite only spending 1 night we wished we had been able to stay for longer. Its a very short stroll across the park to all the shops and restaurants. The layout of the hotel allows you to park right outside your door which after 2 weeks of hauling luggage across car parks and down flights of stairs was really quite nice. We didn't get to make use of the restaurant facilities so cannot comment on how good they are. An enjoyable nights stay though and we wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

An adequate motel for our overnight stay which served its purpose.

Very spacious rooms and the ambience was so great and entrance was like 1940's.. european settlement. Very near to town center and Information site, and we were given early bird breakfast for free.

We found the receptionist very pleasant an helpfull. The Motel was clean and room very spacious. No complaints would recommend this Motel tfor anybody staying in Te Anau. easy to locate and central.would use again

Good value for the money. Walking distance to square. Close to Highway and atttractions.

Good accomodation for the price. Rooms are a bit small if you need to spread out. No internet facilities provided.

Accommodation at the Village Inn was good, clean, a little old but charming. The option of Express Breakfast was good and staff very obliging when earlier breakfast was required. Handy to the city, parking outside the door. Staff very friendly.

The stay was enjoyable, despite the unseasonably cold weather. The gas fire in the bar was an added bonus that gave the area extra comfort. Rooms spacious and comfortable, even though we needed the heater for a while. The restaurant was little-used by other guests while we were there and gave the place a somewhat underused appearance. Even so, the staff were friendly and helpful, and made a booking at another group hotel for us. Would stay again.

Very comfortable and excellent dining room and food

This is 2nd time we have stayed at Village Inn,this time as i am on elbow crutches they put us into a disabled unit king size bed & right opposite office &,not to far to walk. I have no complaints,even when my crutches on a hot day got tar on them,were taken and cleaned up.Would stop there again if we get back 2 Te Anau.Merry Xmas

Great little hotel.

This hotel is in need of a renovation, the carpet was stained and the bathroom inadequate. Large room with mini-kitchen was okay. I wouldn't stay here again, there are better options opposite Lake Te Anau.

Nice Hotel, friendly staff, close to town. Would definitely stay there again.
