Great hotel near the Prado and a short walk from the Plaza del Sol.
Excellent location and great design for a fair price! The only dissappointment is the route to the room - we had to change 2 elevators to get to our one
The hotel is very clean etc and has a valuable central location. The catch is that there is a complicated one-way system around it with the problem exacerbated with road works (August 2010). The car parking facility is also useful but very expensive.
Rooms are very noisy. Elevators have bells which do kling loudly all night long and there are patios or terrazas between the houses. They are full of people having fun all night long. Dont book this hotel if you have an early flight to catch.
would stay there again.Stayed on the 4th floor and found the rooms small. Other floors are bigger.
Th conference room was bad, heavy air and uncosy
great location and a terrific boutique hotel w/modern feel/facilities. would definitely stay here again.
Big room, very nicely styled - new, modern art. Beautiful bathroom. Superbe restaurant/bar, breakfast room, inner court with brilliant terrass and very calm. A little dream in the center of Madrid. Welcome at the reception desk correct but not necessarily very warm and welcoming.
Most of the reception staff speak English which we found very helpful.
thoroughly enjoyed stay, close to all areas of city centre
It was nice to have English speaking staff. Also, it would have been helpful if the hotel would arrange taxi services from the airport. Rooms were nicely detailed and I would stay again. Breakfast was as good as any that I've had in Europe.
The hotel staff was very lovely and helpful, but the front desk serves as both check in and concierge, so the staff did not have quite as much information as I would have hoped about nearby restaurants, events, day trips, etc. But the hotel is in a wonderful location, staff was very friendly, the entire facility was clean, newly renovated, and comfortable. I would stay again with no question.
A superbly refitted contemporary hotel, situated within walking distace of all the sights, surrounde by tapas bars and restaurants. An excellent stay and good value.
A "boutique" hotel rather than a business man hotel. Rooms are equipped with normal hotel facilities, clean & tidy. Lobby & room's decor are "stylish". Hotel is on a narrow street & its main entrance is small, which is no so convenient for taxi drop off or calling one but the hotel's good services compensate this minor deficiency. It's about 3-5 minutes walk to/from Metro Station. Recommeded.
Very close to Plaza Santa Ana....great for late night people watching. Nice looking and decorated hotel but few amenities for a 4 star hotel - no internet access, no concierge, no spa. It did have a free of charge credit card accessible safe, nice bar/restaurant, friendly staff, and GREAT LOCATION!!!
Very cool and trendy. Not nearly enough natural light in the two rooms I stayed in, so ask for a room with a big window if you can. Wireless only available in lobby - internet access in rooms requires an ethernet cable which you have to supply yourself. Overall very comfortable and slick hotel.
It is a very nice Hotel that I enjoyed during my staying.
Loved the room and the location. A few tweaks and this would be a 4+ hotel. add magnified mirrors and improve the lighting in the bathroom for putting on make-up and get the internet connections working. Otherwise, this is a great choice for a stay in Madrid.
Perfect location - five minutes walk north up Calle Leon from the metro at Anton Martin. Very central. Great shower andbath, flatscreen TV with Eurosport and CNN in English. Very firm massive bed. Two comfy sofa-style chairs, interesting "open" wardrobe with eight hangers for clothes, two shelves and a drawer. We stayed in room 223 for the first night, but asked to be moved next day - lots of street noise at night and building work opposite the hotel kicked off at 7am. Front desk were excellent and moved us to room 112 towards the back of the hotel - didn't hear a thing after that. The hotel has a cool bar and lounge, and a peaceful outdoor courtyard area. Front desk staffed by two polite, attentive and English speaking staff. Very helpful, will store your luggage during the day if you have an evening flight.
Very enjoyable stay at this conteporary, well located, clean hotel.
