Loved this hotel. Great pool, huge room, clean, good choice at breakfast. Staff friendly, my husband purchased a vietnam phrase book, the staff were happy to help him learn new words each day, even testing him. The grounds are lovely and peaceful and look pretty lit up at night. an easy walk into town. Bike hire out the front $1 a day, $8 for a motorbike, $1 for 1 kilo laundry. Will stay here again.
The gardens and the outer appearance of this hotel is great. However, our room was not up to the standard we expected, particularly as we had booked a superior room. It was small in size, the refrigerator wasn't working initially, the power adaptor had duct tape wrapped around it and gave us a bit of a shock and the bed felt like a lump of concrete. It was very noisy outside, although this was not the hotel's fault. The pool is great although the towels are so thin, you can almost see through them. They were the same in the room. When we asked for a couple of extra hours before we checked out, we were asked to pay $10.00 an hour, although the hotel was obviously not fully booked. The afternoon market was a great idea as it gave us an opportunity to taste the local fare. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. Overall, if we had been given the room we had asked for, we might have enjoyed our stay a bit more.
The 35 square meter rooms all have balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens and swimming pool and are designed in a natural oriental style. The rooms are comfortably furnished and have a bathroom including a shower with bathtub.
The 60 square meter rooms are large, airy and each room has its own balcony overlooking the river and a wooden floor. The Deluxe River View Rooms always give guests a comfortable and welcoming feeling. The rooms are designed in the natural oriental style which is in harmony with its natural surroundings . The rooms are equipped with modern facilities and all the bathrooms include a jacuzzi.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in march, for 5 nights in room 708 - double deluxe facing onto the river Pros: - free wifi in room. - the mini-bar isn't a rip off. 20,000D for a 1L of water - really quiet location, 5 minute walk to the bridge across to the old town. - really quiet and lovely decorated rooms. There was some motor noise river traffic every morning about 7am with commuters, but it was fine. -the rooms on the other side of the pool (#300 range, #400 range, and #603) were smaller but identical decorations and quality - free 'country market' every afternoon at 4.30. It was the same food every night though, so we only went twice. - big pool with a spa that seemed only to go on after about 4pm?. Cons: - Breakfast was always cold no matter how early we got there. - I paid $25 for an asian massage, and endured 45 minutes of a loud ticking clock and musty smelling towls in a prison cell sized room!
Nice location by river and 10min walk to old town. Rooms are spacious
The hotel was a little disappointing because the swimming pool was being renovated and therefore not in use, and other building was going on. This made it a little noisy and not as relaxing as we hoped. The staff were very courteous though.
Very good location in walking distance from Old Town and really friendly staff.
This hotel is an oasis after the hurly burly of Siagon. Very quite in pleasent tropical garden. The food is great espcially the FREE local cuisine served on the lawn area in the evenings. This was a real surprise and just so perfect after a busy day shopping in Hoi An
Great place to stay, flowers on the bed every morning and clean towels twice a day. Unfortunately the bed was quite hard (as with most beds in Asia). Would recommend!
We were very happy that we chose this hotel! Great quite location by the river but close to the old town, only five minutes walking. Very friendly and helpful staff! Beatiful big room ( we had a riverside room ) Delicious breakfast and resonable prices at the restaurant. The oportunity to try the local food in the garden in the afternoon was very nice! The day we signed out we could still use the pool and all the facilities until we were leaving in the evening. That was good service! We can highly reccomend this hotel!
A lovely place. Lovely setting. Lovely pool. Lovely staff. Great breakfast buffet. 2 notes of caution: 1-though the river view rooms are fantastic, the boats that go by constantly are very noisy, starting early and going late. So bring earplugs. 2- the Internet is very slow. Only 2 seemed to work at all and even then, it was spotty. Frustrating how slow the load times were, but this seemed to be a common problem everywhere I went in Vietnam. For such a great place, and having received 4 stars, they should look into better bath towels and pool towels, but overall I was extremely pleased with this place. You will need to walk a bit to get into "town" but I enjoyed being out of the thick of things; very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again in a hearbeat. And I am as picky as they come...
A very enjoyable stay. Excellent food, friendly staff, good location. The only negative was the ac which was not working properly. I definitely recommend this hotel
Locations is perfect, out of the craziness of the town but in a quiet spot on the river, 5 mins walking to town. Fitness is equipment is a joke. Pool is nice but not a "wow". Amazing place for the price but this was a 3rd choice for me. Bathrooms ok, rooms are much better. Riverside room is worth the upgrade for a great view. Free wireless internet in common areas (not rooms). Lobby has 7 computers for guests, only 2 work. Stay here over new years for a great buffet at no charge (entertainment not good for western ears though). See my review on [other website] for more detail
great place to stay - I can only recommend it.
If you need a relaxing esacpe from the Vietnam turmoil don't go anywhere else in Hoi An, this place is spectacular for a three star. Pay a little more and get the river view room you won't be dissapointed. Staff were great and food was adequate. We will return.
Great location within an easy stroll of old town.
This is a very nice hotel with very friendly staff. We enjoyed a river view room and must admit it was very pleasant sitting on the verandah each evening watching the boats, fisherman etc on the river.
Quality of the rooms are excellent. IN comparison to similar syle hotels, the Vinh Hung others excellent value. The late afternoon market, on the hotel site, others great free food. Being by the river is an overall bonus
Delightfully situated hotel on river and short walk from ancient quarter. Ideal place to explore Hoi An and situaqted in relaxing tropical grounds
