All the staff were extremely friendly and curtious. They were eager to fulfil all our needs immediately. They were always smiling and greeting you at every opportunity. If this kind of service were to be extended to all the hotels, then the world would be a better place. Overall, a good hotel although there are signs that it is becoming a bit worn around the edges. Service was pretty good and attentive and staff were generally quite helpful. All F&B outlets were very good, the Thai restaurant particularly so - I have lived in Bangkok and am quite demanding of Thai restaurants outside Thailand and this was up to the mark. The location is good and bad: sitting in the infinity pool watching the dolphins in the river in front of the hotel was good, but once outside the hotel one finds oneself in a working port area which is not that attractive. I thought the hotel was expensive for what it was and so ultimately not the best value for money.
