The Waldberg is a stylish and charming hotel nestled in forests of the Zao highland. The hotel offers a total of 36 guest rooms, all of which have private bathrooms and toilets. Our big baths and open air baths with 100% hot spring water are always popular (no recycling the spring) during the stay. In the Noten-buro open air bath; which can be enjoyed only during the summer season from May to late September, you can feel the unforgettable sense of oneness with nature in the mountains. During winter, Zao ski field is just a step away from the hotel.

| Getting there: |
From Narita Airport to Tokyo Station, it takes about one hour with the Narita Express Train. From Tokyo Station, you can take the Yamagata-shinkansen (Yamagata-line bullet train) to Yamagata station. Exchange the train at the Yamagata station to a bus to Zao Onsen Bus Terminal (the total trip time is about four hours). Free shuttle bus is available from and to the bus terminal to/from the hotel (prior booking essential).
