Getting there:Airport - 10 mins. Follows the direction to Queanbeyan, at roundabout turn right into Monaro Street, cross the bridge to town centre, and turn right into Crawford Street at the 1st set of traffic lights. Canberra - 20 mins. Follows along the Canberra Ave to Queanbeyan town centre, adjoinning Canberra Ave are Farrer Pl then Monaro Street, keep going straight and turn left into Crawford Street upon arrival to town centre. Sydney: take exit off Federal Highway to Queanbeyan. Follows the sign towards Queanbeyan city. At first roundabout turn right, cross over bridge and at 1st traffic light turn right into Crawford Street. The Wallaby Motel is on the right hand side after the 2nd traffic light on Crawford Street .
Check-in Procedure:Valid photo ID and credit card. Office Hours 7:30AM - 8:30PM If you are late check-in please call during office hours for your room-key arrangement, late check-in service charge $22.00 will be applied.
Car parking:Complimentary on-site off street parking - NOT UNDERCOVER
Child Policy:No extra charge for children under 6 yrs using existing bedding. The room rate is based on two adults. Extra adults/cots are at a charge of $22.00 each.

stayed in quad room,close to queanbeyan town and supermarket 500meters.heater in room was great and quite,had excellent tv with usb feature and wireless in room,plus microwave,shower was clean and constantly hot.motel wasnt busy was pretty quite except from 6am onwards traffic.the place is 70's design so nothing flash but perfect for our familes short stay,resturant was closed but lots of food options in town,menues in room

I just stayed 1 night so nothing much to say, but it just served my purpose of staying the night. No bad experiences.

Good value for money, nice and clean. warm in winter. only stayed one night. owners very helpful and friendly. Clean and comfortable. toaster in room was good. Would stay again
thuough it was ok ,I think the rooms need refrbising/remodelling.
Stairs to first floor were steep - o problem for elderly people.
A cheaper option for budget conscious visitors to Canberra.A bit tired but $30 per night cheaper than some other newer motels.
The staff were very nice, was a little noises with traffic noise, the room was clen and tidy, nothing seemed to be a problem for the staff which was wonderful to see.
Served the purpose as an inexpensive place for an overnight stay for a function in nearby Canberra.
Room was tidy and clean. Lucky to have a ground floor which meant car was nearby. Service and friendliness of staff was excellent. Only minor details on fixtures and fittings - due to age/wear and tear, detract from an excellent rating for the motel.
Selected the Deluxe room, but was woken up by chickens next door which couldn't be helped but it was unusual. Unsure what the standard room would have been like though.

I've stayed here several times for its simplicity and convienient location The owners/management have always been polite and very courteous. (I requested a late checkin (10.30pm) via the internet and they were still polite!) The rooms are showing there age, but, all the facilities are as good as they claim.
Spotlessly clean. Very convenient to Queanbeyan train station and bus stop to Canberra. Owners are cheerful and helpful. I have already booked to go back there.

The owners at the Wallaby Hotel were friendly and helpful. We had business meetings in Canberra to attend so the location was good, only 10-15 mins drive to Canberra. The room was clean and tidy. Tea/Coffe facilities were available in the room, as well as a microwave and toaster. Pricing was average compared to other places we've stayed and adequate considering they were last minute bookings.
This hotel complied with a three and half star rating. Everything worked and the room had airconditioning and electric blankets. Very comfortable. Would stay there again.
