Wanaka Edge Apartments

Longer walk into town than led to believe. Good value though with laundry and full kitchen. Even ended up with 2 bedrooms when had paid for 1.

The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed. The service was very good and very eager to please. The double bed was however very small and far too soft.

Excellent place, nice and new, although steep drive to get down to parking spot. Car scrapes along the top as you go down the drive apart from that, would definately reccommend it

Excellent service and good facilities. Only down points were uncomfortable couch, water pressure in the shower and the noise from the early morning gym class next door. Would visit again, though.

We got an apartment for a great deal through [website], however our expectation was let down by a few quirks in our apartment. 1.)The showerhead was broken 2.) The wiring in the ceiling was faulty and caused the lights in the lounge to flicker violently whenever they were on. 3.) We couldn't have the dishwasher and the television going at the same time or else the fuse for the apartment would blow and we would need to reset it. This happened about nine times throughout the evening so eventually we unplugged our fridge so we wouldn't keep being plunged into darkness. The lady manager was fantastic.

10 min walk to town centre downhill, but hotel is nice and rooms spacious. Hotel is located in a quiet area. Reception is friendly & helpful.

The layout of the unit was roomy and functional, the little patio area was nice and private and appealing. The position of the hotel at Wanaka was not so good however as it was a long walk to the township and the name of the unit (Edge Suites) was confusing as you presume it is on the edge of the lake!

Service was extremely good, since the managers deal directly with guest. Room and kitchen utensils were very2 clean. Its just that the location was somehow a bit way off from the town centre, though still walkable to town (10-15 minutes hilly walk). But there are other shops a stone throw away for daily supplies for those who cook (meat,fish,vege). Great place, definitely will stay again.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was also happy that they have the cable with the sport channel that covered the french open.

Brand new, very nice room distribution, lovely friendly manager. We were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful new apartments. Nice spa. Location is O.K. It's an easy walk to the west end of town. View is very dependent on getting an upper level apartment.

1st class would highly recommend e. Manager extremely friendly and obliging

Location of hotel was distant from Lake views.

Beautiful accomodation in fantastic condition. Just a bit further out of town that you may need to drive for dinner if the weather looks inclement.

You can get closer to town and the lake but the facilities and service here more than make up for that.

I was not able to locate any tissues or paper towels in the unit. I wanted to clean my shoes, as the weaterh was muddly and wet. Tissues would have been useful for me to remove my makeup.

Helpful and courteous reception staff and management. Only a short walk to the village but not a brilliant view. Our stay was too brief to try the facilities but the apartment was very comfortable and the underfloor heating worked brilliantly. The lack of an elevator might deter some clientele but we would return if we could get the same $$ rate which was probably low season.

never stayed in a motel so beautifull and clean. everybody scould stay there

New development but unfortunately poorly finished - handles missing, lights not working, TV not properly tuned in... These faults were not new nor confined to the units and should have been picked up by staff and rectified. Symptomatic of other problems in management of the suites e.g. towels which should have been replaced daily were not changed - we stayed 3 nights. If you're planning to stay go in the near future as the accommodation will quickly become shabby in the absence of better management. Pricing good but it may be worth paying a little more for better run accommodation.
