"My stay was for only one night, the hotel brochure information was only in Chinese. Ther was nothing written in English. It was my intention to dine at the hotel, but after checking found the dinning room congested, noisy and very over crowded. The hotel staff of which on the night there were not enough of them, were flat out coping with the large number of dinners . I went to reception to seek information about possible alternative dinning arangements, but the reception was unattended. Needless to say I made my own dinning arrangements elsewere. Overall I was not impressed with my stay, infact I checked out at 0800 hours first thing on the Sunday morning. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my much traveling work mates" - Anonymous
"The staff are friendly and helpful when I told them that the shower in the bathroom didn't work, they immediately changed room for me. " - Anonymous
"This is quite a quiet place for short term getaway holidays. I prefer ocean fresh air to air-con and with the balcony door open, I can have sweet dreams accompanied by quiet seawaves just 50 metres away. In the morning, breakfast on the balcony is something you must try. Overlooking a beautiful beach while enjoying meals will surely enhance your appetite. Seawind and sunshine inside the room throughout the day is a bonus. Despite the simplicity of room furniture and facilities, you might hate to leave such a lovely place. Hopefully, hotel will improve and upgrade room facilities to make the booking more cost effective. " - Anonymous
"Good Stuff: The Warwick has a great location with a stunning view if you face the beach. Each room has a small balcony to sit and watch the ocean. Public beach is nice, roped in with lifeguard. Warwick is short 5 minute walk to other side of island with convenience stores and restaurants.
American breakfast was very good and delivered to room in class style.
Bad Stuff: The hotel is older - the inside of the rooms are what you would expect from an older Motel 6 in the US. Beds were very uncomfortable. Both of us had achy backs in the morning.
But worth it for the view? I think so.
Traveler Tip: Boats to the Pirate Cave only charge $5HK for trip but they will try to get $100HK from tourists if they can.
