Got a special price and found the hotel met my expectations as a business traveler. Free internet cconnection a plus. Room was small but clean and comfortable and very convenient to my appointments near K street.
Rooms are small no fridge or microwave. Ice machiine didn't work but, the staff came around on our second night to fill our ice buckets and gave out bottles of water. Parking was very expensive $54.00 for two days. Other than those issues clean safe hotel. 7th floor view was nice..
Standard Room one Queen, or two Doubles beds (bed type subject to confirmation upon check-in) Coffee maker, hairdryer, iron/board, cable tv
the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. it was nice to have a window that can open to let fresh air to come in. the restaurant on site had a good breakfast buffet (15 dollars). Free wifi, nice lobby, good location! The best was comfortable and brand-new bed for good night sleep.
Third time visited Washington Plaza, literally no complaints, enjoyed everytime. Clean, comfortable, ten minute walk to nearest Metro, onsite restaurant, bit expensive, but quality and staff make up for the price. Would recommend Plaza to anyone planning to visit DC. Nearest Metro is McPhearson Sq,
This hotel is a true value. The location served my needs well! Of note , the hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to provide us with a great experience. I will definitely stay here again in the future!
Very nice hotel has everything and free wifi. Easy walking distance to many tourist attractions
I chose the hotel for its convenience. Its good that I was only staying one night as the room was quite small and the carpet was dirty. At night it was quiet but the next morning noise from the mechanical equipment on the adjacent roof blasted into the room. It's a good thing I hadn't planned to sleep in. Warning: at some point during the day intruders entered my colleague's room at the hotel, used her bed, left the TV on, and stole her nightgown.
It is a great location for getting around the downtown area. Tha staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nicely appointed, elegant but not showy. I would stay at the Washington Plaza any time I visit the city.
this place is fantastic - great 70s style decor, nice (smallish, but I don't care) rooms and a stylish ambiance. Excellent location for any visitor. Wouldn't pay the standard room price, but always first on my list when looking for deals.
Recently renovated, the hotel is comfortable, compactly organized, and sparkly clean. Staff were friendly when we called in to say we were running late (in a snow storm in October!) and even more friendly when we arrived. Only glitch was that the two connecting rooms they said we had when we called in had turned into two contiguous but NOT connecting rooms by the time we arrived. No extra space in these rooms, but very well designed. Not delighted to be charged more for a room with two doubles than the room with one bed--I've never before stayed in a place that did that. Parking at $26-31 per night seems high to me--and wasn't mentioned in the Orbitz write-up, which would have been helpful. Did I just miss it? Overall my first time at this hotel, and my first time using Orbitz. Would repeat both again.
The staff is incredibly accomodating and location along with room was a very reasonable price. I have stayed at the so called reasonable hotels all over with status and I received the best treatment here with no status to wave. Also, free wifi for the price I paid for my stay- you can't beat that. Next time I come to DC- i will be sure to stay here again! Highly recommended.
Excellent hotel - great location for business and DC touring. A nice respite from the trendier, younger, louder and [ob]noxious haunts of Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, Geotown.
Was completely fine, free wifi.
nice environment, close to major visiting sceneries. swimming pool is really good. bathroom is very clean and big.
2nd time at this hotel. location not too far from the metro, good facilities excellent food top shelf one of the best feeds we had in the states in 3 weeks. If price is good can't go wrong here.
[...](WASHINGTON PLAZA) a really nice 60s built hotel with a great outdoor swimming pool and easily accessing and exiting underground parking garage (at $25.00 a nite still worth it) the doormen & bell hops & booking staff were all top notch and very accomodating ...so far so good ... we had booked the Queen room , the least expensive of the rooms offered, and it was a good thing i looked at the amenities list before hand ,you have to request a fridge in your room if you want one (No extra charge) Maybe it's me again BUT i can't remember ever being in a hotel room without one , so yes we had a fridge but one of those tiny 2 ft. high ones...OK ....The room was tiny , if i were staying 1 nite it would have been fine BUT 3 nites NO ...OK ...so down to the desk to request an upgrade in which they were most accomodating , we then received the upgraded & discounted king room twice as big as our previous room and we were very happy BUT again had to request a fridge and get this ...no table or chairs for us to sit at to eat or drink together , the room was big enough actually had a couch & ottoman , had the little desk with 1 chair and that was it . I dont get it , if we odered room sevice we had no place to eat with only 1 chair and no table so we didn't order in , there loss !!Outside of that ...IT REALLY IS A NICE HOTEL ...
We visited most of the Nation's Capital's attractions via Metro, where the closest station is only a few blocks away from the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, although not very soundproof. You can hear the sounds of the city at night. Nonetheless, nice rooms, great location, and probably the best nightly parking rate in town.
Pretty good. Room was tiny, but nicely furnished. Good bath, small TV. Besides, I was unable to connect to wi-fi with IPAD - they provided me with username/pass but it just didn't work for some reason. Anyway. You're not in hotel for TV/Internet :) Pretty good pool, btw.
VERY NICE HOTEL,VERY CLEAN, BUT, BOOKED ONLINE AND WHEN OFFERED THE CHOICE CHOSE A SMOKING ROOM. AT CHECK IN WE WERE TOLD YOU HAD TO GO OUTSIDE TO SMOKE, ALSO WERE SURPRIZED WITH THE NEWS IT WOULD BE COSTING 23.00 TO PARK AT THE HOTEL. PARKING SPOTS UNDER HOTEL ARE SO TIGHT I SCRAPED SIDE OF VAN TRYING TO FIT BETWEEN TWO POLES.ALSO WATER PRESSURE VERY LOW IN SHOWER
Walking, Dining......
