nice pool area with comfortable pool lounge chairs - but no real beach

I loved it here and even extended my stay. We had a great time. It's a romantic atmosphere but also good for business travelers. Very beautiful and tropical. The pool was excellent and clean. Breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had and friendliest hotel staff ever. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Nice hotel with beach view.

Very enjoyable stay. Staff in ALL areas extremely helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to accommodate some of our quirky requests - like big coffee cups/mugs at breakfast. Only negative is polluted beach at this location - not hotels fault though. Will definitely stay there again next visit.

a first class hotel outside Davao City, nicely located in a park close to the beach. Own swimming pool and a couple of restaurants inside the resort-like hotel area.

One could not ask for better value for money. During my stay, I could not fault the food, service, location, amenities, or the courteous staff in any way. For older style accommodation one couldn't ask for more; even the weather was accommodating.

A Hotel with a wonderful garden, nice pool area but the rooms totally out of date.And the bathroom was a bit disgusting. If the rooms would be renovated, it would be a perfect place to relax. The staff was excellent, nothing to complain about that.

I would return to this hotel in future visits to Davao and would recommend it to my associates.

The Waterfront Insular Hotel is set in large beautiful gardens overlooking the pool. The hotel is a number of two story blocks,which makes a change from the large tower block hotels. The room that I stayed in was clean and spacious with a large veranda. The staff are very polite and helpful.Nothing is too much for them. A credit to their training. There are several restraunts and bars within the complex also a number of functions rooms. I will certainly be staying at the Waterfront Hotel on my next visit to Davao.

It is not mentioned on the website that swimming in the sea is not allowed and this is really a pity! We went there thinking that we could swim in the sea since the hotel was just in front of the sea and we were really deceived!
