A quiet corner tucked away on the banks of the River Derwent - its so peaceful that its hard to believe you're only minutes away from the main highway into historic Hobart. A short drive or bus ride from the door and you're free to start exploring the city - Sullivan's Cove and the small boat docks, Salamanca Place, galleries, museums - all only a ten-minute drive away. Drive another 15 minutes and you're at the top of Mount Wellington and looking up the Derwent valley, across the river to the hills and bays of the south east, and down the river to the ocean. A very central location from which to base your explorations of Southern Tasmania. For the golfer - there's a course just 2 minutes away! No-smoking in rooms.

Good price as travelling on my own. Location good for me as had hire car but maybe too far out of CBD for those looking to use public transport. Service from reception and room service attendants was excellent. Extra tea, coffee, milk, sugar provided. Car parking free, laundry but washer broken while I was there but information on laundromat given to me. Internet available for a fee. I would stay again as easy road access to Airport and on the road to northern parts.
Its a hotel we enjoyed staying ......highly recommended. Front Office staff made me feel welcome. Much better that the Best Western wished I had stayed the 10 nights I stayed in Hobart.
We enjoyed our stay at Waterfront Lodge Leisure Inn Hobart but were disappointed that we could not watch TV as it was too small and up too high to watch. Also ABC was the only Channel available. We are telling friends it is a good place to stay as long as they do not want to watch TV.
Good value for money, pleasant view
very happy with the lodge , location and closeness to the city, easy access . Staff only to happy to assist you. Will visit again if in that part of the world.
Beds were very uncomfortable and cold. electric blanket was on high and only warm didnt get hot. pillows were flat as pancakes even when using two and the inner case looked like it needed a wash.
clean, confortable pleasant surroundings, met our needs.
Access by car is good. The weather was (for us) cold. There were no additional blankets, so we went to bed fully clothed and still shivered.
Very happy with this booking. We'll definitely go back there but with a rented car.
Good but basic level facilities. Grounds and pool not well maintained. Overall good value
There are a few rooms that have been converted from something else. These few rooms don't offer proper facilities, i.e. fridge and microwave in the toilet, no cabinet to keep and hang clothes in, they have a connecting door to another room, etc.
Very quiet location and thus very restful. Only negative comment is that the turn into bottom car park is very tight and requires care especially at night, but this minor quibble aside I regard the place as very good and would definitely stay there again
Downside: Furnishings tired. Carpet should be replaced. Wall heater inoperable. Views of bay difficult to obtain. Parking and access narrow. Upside: Very quiet. Close to Hobart CBD and eateries, but need a car. Modest price. Friendly staff. Plenty of pleasant walking opportunities.
This is a 3 star hotel in the cheaper bracket, but, it provides warm comfort and all any 3-star traveller should expect for the money. A waterfront view roomwould give a good view, but the sunny other rooms are fine.
Very handy , friendly staff , good stay !
A good basic place to stay handy to all sides of Hobart have stayed here before and will use it again when in the area
The room is small and has no air conditioner. It was really hot when we were there.
The Waterfront Lodge is ok for a night or two, I was there for 8 days and my bed was only changed once. Other than that it wasn't bad for the money and location, but you really need some form of transport to get anywhere close to local facilities. Nearest shops 2km walk nearest bar about the same. Would I stay there again? Yes, but it wouldn't be as long, maybe just one night.
Clean, basic accommodation with no frills, in quiet location.
A clean and neat room without being anything amazing. Room was certainly better than we expected for the price. Will stay again if we travel back to hobart.
