"I read the reviews online and it sounded good but I was very disappointed on arrival.
Location was good, a few minutes from the beach, but still 10mins from good shopping. Hotel is mediocre, just not a 4.5 stars as they reckon. None of the rooms have balconies. Rooms and general hotel facilities are old (don’t let the seductive photos on their website trick you!) the pool is very small on a tiny ugly terrace.The rooms and bathroom are a decent size but need a complete upgrade. The staff practically kicked me out of the room on check out. The club room guests have their own pool which I could see from my window and it wasn’t nice either. In summary unless you get an amazing deal don’t pay more than you’d pay for a 3 star in the area as that’s all you’re going to get and you’ll be disappointed. Most rooms don’t have sea view (The Q1 tower blocks it) and even if you pay for the club floors I doubt you’ll ever get the level of comfort you’re paying for." - Anonymous

"Our hotel room was kinda old-ish looking, including the toilet which had the white lights which was a bit of a moood damperner. Also, use of safe in the room wasnt complimentary. But I guess you get what you pay for - and I think I got mine really cheap. Pool was alright, water could have been a little bit warmer. Fiance says the spa was awesome though, and they let you choose from a variety of pillows to sleep on! Overall, quite alright." - Johann Gan
"Reception was faultless and welcoming. Hotel room very pleasant and comfortable. Self parking and only a $5 charge a welcome change from usual parking fees at some hotels. I would certainly use the Watermark another time." - Robert McFadyen
