Great location between old and new cities with a great standard of service.
Excellent hotel! 5/5
it's really a great hotel to stay~
Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were excellent and could not be more friendly or helpful. We would certainly go again. One word of warning The cost of parking overnight and breakfast far exceeded any other we have encountered in Germany and this additional charging appears to be a growing trend. Be warned
Amazing breakfast, nice location on the Elba river
My wife and I stayed for two nights and we found the location of this hotel exellent, with a short walk across the bridge to the old town. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.the front desk staff were very helpful and spoke fluent english.the breakfast was very good with a large selecton of breads ,fruit conserves and cold meats. We would certainly stay again when in dresden.
Great hotel. Short walk over bridge to centre of old area. Great views. V friendly staff. All speak english.
The reception staff were particularly knowledgable and helpful. The room that we had when we initially checked in appeared to have a fault with the heating/air conditioning. So we advised reception of the problem and were promptly moved to another room - this was done courteously and professionally. We found the location quite good and the breakfast buffet particluarly good.
We again had a wonderful stay in this extraordinary Hotel within its outstanding service, its discreet and familiar care, its super food facilities like the Gourmet Restaurant Canaletto and the Atrium - British Afternoon Teatime. The magnificant breakfast buffet is unbeatable. The location along the Elbe river, opposite to the Semperoper and Zwinger, is convenient and walkable to the city center.
An unremarkable "international" hotel, but in desperate need of serious refurbishment.
Good location on river just a picturesque short walk from the old town. We booked a standard room so ours faced the main street but it was quiet at night. The room was adequately appointed but small, the bathroom and public spaces were grander. We had requested a non-smoking room but only smoking rooms were available; thankfully it did not smell badly so we took it. Did not eat in the hotel, better options are available in the old town. Would I stay there again – well it depends on the price of other comparable hotels – in terms of location , comfort and safety. Compared to some other old East German cities such as Berlin or Leipzig, Dresden seems a more expensive city both in terms of hotel accommodation and restaurants. Still it was fascinating to visit with two very full days being enough to take in most of the sights.
Great location, great price.
The location is absolutely beautiful. From some rooms you can see the Zwinger and the Semperoper. A very nice stay for a few days
Unusually friendly and courteous staff, best hotel beds I've ever slept in, top-of-the-line bathroom, - and the breakfast buffet was just magnificent.
