The deal we got through Orbitz made it affordable but evrything is so expensive now ...the hotel is price gouging everything in the activities and restaurants Only recommend this hotel at the right price !!
We got a great rate through Orbitz but the hotel itself is price gouging every cent at the restaurants and any activities at the hotel. If we hadnt got the rate through Orbitz it would have een terrible value for money. Staff have become much more surly over the years ...... about 25 years we have been going to Denarau but it may be our last !

Excellent service and great value for accommodation - our room wasn't ready and they upgraded us and also gave us a bottle of wine. Also fantastic breakfast. Though staying in Denaru does not allow you to see Fiji as beach is polluted, best to stay on an island or do day trips.
This was the second time that we stayed here. Rooms are very nice and very clean. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of maintenance at the resort. Lights outside room not working, telephones in room broken. Staff notified but nothing was done to rectify the problem. Cards to rooms stop working for no reason - they had not been near any phones to demagnitise them. Airconditioning broke down at 1am - after some consultation we were given another room to sleep in. However, this same thing happened 3 years ago when we stayed there - we ended up having to move rooms twice as each room had aircon that stopped working. So although it is a lovely established resort in a great spot and the Staff were very friendly - we will not be going back to it next time we go to Fiji. We thought the aircon problem would not happen again but we were wrong.
Hotel location and facilities very pleasant , but check in painfully slow and casual, and servicing of room poor . We NEVER had the correct number of towels/facecloths left in the bathroom . Overall , the room (and bed!) had a "tired" feel , the air-con was noisy , and the satellite channels on the TV were frequently unobtainable . These things we considered sub standard for a 5 star hotel . Enjoyed the breakfasts very much , but only once we were finally shown to a table . What should have been a hassle free stay was somewhat marred by these irritants.
As a Nadi stopover close to the Marina, this is a very good hotel. Friendly staff, good meals, excellent buffet breakfast, pleasant surroundings. The best of the four Nadi hotels we have stayed at.
Good facilities , pleasant location , but service patchy , and really NOT up to what one would expect from a supposedly 5 star Resort . No problems with cleanliness , but our room , tho' quite adequate , was rather "tired" . Breakfasts (included in room rate) proved to be very good , but dining at the resort could prove to be expensive . However , the harbour-side eateries in Denarau centre itself were good , and better value for money . Overall , would probably be happy to stay here again , but would look for special price deals to compensate for the deficiencies .
I had a perfect time at the Westin. I had an Ocean view which was perfect for watching the sunsets and so close to the beach, without being right on top of the beach - just a short walk across the gardens. The free Bula bus to the Sheraton was brilliant and staff gave me a lift over in a Golf buggy on day!!! The FID6 daypass for the bus down to Denarau Port was also good value, although 2 years ago it was free!! I would certainly stay at the Westin again without doubt, but it would have been good to have breakfast included in all the rates as it was last year.
Everything was pleasing to us. only one thing dissapointing was there was no beach or was not able to get to the beach, had to walk to the Sheraton Fiji for a swim, also ran out of beach towels. Not all Ocean View rooms have a view, some only very slightly from the balcony.
The main reason we booked for The Westin this year is because of the excellent facilities and service at The Westin but unfortunately, this time, the overall facilities is poor. The bathroom is so old that the ceiling was leaking, the ceiling in the bedroom was also leaking. Most of the room facilties the room facilities were broken. The only thing that is excellent is still the staff. They are very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was doing renovations while we were there. To noisy. Staff not as friendly as on previous occasions. I think many have been there for a long time.
Fantastic resort! Stunning grounds amid groomed tropical setting. Clean, good service, beautiful pool setting, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Food was very expensive, only downside to the resort... And then a whopping 17.5% ++ on top of everything hurts the wallet although port down the road fantastic eating. Definietley recommend staying here.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Nice and clean and friendly staff.
1, my bill was over-charged from $100 to $150!!!I know it may happen even in five stars hotel but I still cannot tolerate it! 2, most staffs are well-trained, but some are not. One cleaner went into my room without knocking the door when i was naked and going to take a shower...she said she wanted to give me some more towels...when i had my breakfast, i asked for a paper serviette, a waitress said they did not offer paper serviette and worse, she did not look at my face when she answered me. after 1 min, i found lots of paper serviette on one table. 3, others were good! ppl in check-in counter and buggi guys were soooo nice and polite. 3,
Everything was on Fiji time not upto the usual westin standard aircon loud only some tv chanels you had to pay extra for use of tennis courts etc
We spent a fantastic week at The Westin. The service and standard of facilities were top rate. The flexibilty of accessing the other resorts along the strip and easy access of Port Denerau via the Bula Bus added to the experience. A tip for first time travellers to Fiji - Fiji Time really does exist - things are done at a very relaxed pace so chill and enjoy the experience. If you want quick service with no personality stay in Sydney, however if you are happy to unwind, spend time with your family and friends, have quality meals and drinks, and enjoy a slice of paradise - then head to Fiji. I know that we'll be heading back.
Nice hotel with good amenities and service. 'Ocean view' room was a stretch of the imagination, as you had to stand outside the balcony to catch a 'view'.
Great hotel all round
The ambience of the hotel was simply spectacular. Tho, given it a 5-star property, some aspects were poorly managed: 1. air-condition in the room was LOUD (could hard hear the TV), 2. walls were probably thin (the baby crying during the day & tremendous snoring from next door family), 3. hazzy TV, 4. Lounge bar caesar salad was stale. Having said that it still is a lovely property & would be back again: )
A fantastic location with great pools and landscaping. Unfortunatley the Hotel is let down with some rooms being sub-standard for a 5 star Hotel. Simple things like keys not working after check in, no cable for internet connection should be improved. Staff and fantastic and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
