Westminster Hotel Nice

Very dated hotel room with small beds but for some reason the bathroom was large and updated. Maybe it is a work in progress. Cannot beat the location however

excellent hotel, staff friendly & helpful, service excellent and hotel very clean. Buffet breakfast very good with a wide menu to choose from. I would highly recomend this hotel. We stayed in a room with a sea view at the front of the hotel, the room was lovely but a lot of traffic noise, had to keep window closed at night and use air conditioning.

A return visit to the Westminster: always a pleasure.

Rooms are not well equipped, mixing new with old just does not work. Carpets in the main halls and corredors are rather old. Lifts are old,too. Thank you.

Only complaint: Evening meal in hotel only fair while being quite pricey. Reception staff excellent, very helpful in making tour bookings. Porter service excellent.

We stayed five nights in this classic beachfront hotel over the Labor Day weekend. Everyone we met; the bellmen, the registration desk personnel, the servers in the breakfast room, the servers in the bar, and the attendants at the beach, were all wonderful. It is very convenient to the airport. Bus 98 stops across the street on the way in, and picks you about 100 yards to the west for the 20 minute return trip. Our room, with a king sized bed, was very spacious and offered a great view of the beach. We were concerned that it might be noisy since we were on the third floor (second floor in Europe), but the heavy door to the alcony kept it pretty quiet. We will definitely return!

Lovely, friendly hotel with mixture of new and old. rooms bright and modern and communal areas still retain old charm. staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend this hotel and would return in future. Nice itself is a great place to visit.

exceptionally pleasant hotel staff whose english put our french to shame lovely to have breakfast served until 11am. did find cost of using beach facilities a bit high

Staff service was excellent and charming. The room was comfortable, although a little small for two, and a very nice bathroom. The air-conditioning could be improved. Breakfast on the terrace was great.

hotel is a bit aged but we stayed for the location and were not disapointed..

We enjoyed our stay at the Westminster very much. The room had a great view, the breakfast was excellent and the facilities and service were also very good. We wished we could have stayed longer in order to spend some relaxing time at the private beach.

Great hotel with a fantastic view of the Meditteranean and the Promenades des Anglais. The rooms themselves are quite small however nicely decorated. The staff was polite. I would stay here again.

Absolutely charming and classic hotel.

What a great hotel! travel alot with work and pleasure and am fussy about location, rooms and service and this hotel is great! Ok it's not the most modern of hotels but the rooms that have been upgraded on the 1st and 2nd floor are of a good standard. I paid £89 on line and to book direct at the hotel is £136,so I consider I got myself a bargin! Especially as I asked for an upgrade to a sea room and got upgraged FREE OF CHARGE!! Now that's service for you! The sea view room was noisy as it faces the traffic but the view and the balcony far out weighed that. I also stayed at the [other hotel] next door which is no where near as good as the WESTMINSTER especially the BREAKFAST,1st Class Breakfast, plenty of choice and FRESH! Over all Fantastic location, Brilliant service from all the staff at reception. Also only a 15 minute walk to the train station to whisk you away to Cannes, Monte Carlo etc! Although the shopping and restaurants in Nice are fab. I will be back!!!

Had the most perfect stay in Nice! Loved the Westminster. Never had breakfast in such a grand room. Fair enough, could probably do with a lick of paint here and there, but it all added to the grand character of the place. Fantastic location, lovely view over the sea front. Would defo stay there again, and at £100 a night, couldn't get any better.

Excellent location, beautiful traditional hotel, staff very helpful and friendly.

Location was precisely what we required, Hotel offering everything that was required to make our stay as pleasurable as possible.
