Located in the picturesque town of Windermere set in a quiet area off the main road ideally situated as a perfect base for exploring the Lake District within walking distance of the train station, shops and many restaurants.
Wheatlands Lodge is family owned and run traditional Lake District residence dating from around 1860 set in delightful gardens. The property has recently undergone a full programme of refurbishment respecting the houses’ history, offering period charm with modern style and comfort.
This friendly 5 Star Luxury guest accommodation has the benefit of free on-site parking which is unique in the area considering the short walking distance to the main attractions Lake Windermere has to offer, also the surrounding mountains with spectacular scenery.
Please note that a building near the hotel will be undergoing maintenance and renovation work from November 2009 - March 2010. The work will be carried out strictly between 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday so will not effect evenings or weekends.

From the M6 junction 36, follow the A590 which becomes the A591 to Windermere (16 miles approx.), then turn left into Windermere village (signposted Bowness & The Lake), through the traffic lights and take the second turning on the right hand side. Look out for the Lakeland Insurance building on the corner of Old College Lane. |
