No complaints. A nice beach side room at a good price. This is a smaller resort compared to others in PT/Mui Ne and even in high season (Tet week), seemed a little quiet. It is at the western end of the 'strip', closer to PT than Mui Ne. The beach has been "improved" in the last few years through the building of a sea wall to capture the sand being moved west by wind and tide. The swimming here is nicer than the 'main' beach areas further east, which are only suited to wind/kite surfing. White Sands is a little isolated - though made less so recently by a new road - so you cant just walk across the road to restaurants/bars - you need transport to get out of the resort.
Management and staff were friendly and helpful. Later that week we moved onto another resort (as it was pre booked) but returned to the White Sands bar for drinks. Great end of the beach, clean water and quiet. Ocean view bungalow location was perfect. We intend to return later in the year.
private balcony views onto the tropical garden, some rooms having ocean view.
located meters from the ocean, sweeping views of the bay and local fishing boats..great moon reflections on the water - postcard perfect views from the private balcony. Fully imported bedding ensures the best sleep under a thatched roof.
two bedrooms both with full ensuite bathroom. A lounge room with garden views. private balconies.
This is a lovely small resort on a pretty stretch of beach. Peaceful and scenic location. The local junior staff were very polite and helpful. A little attention by the admin to a few minor issues would make this a first rate destination. Areas such as the games room need attention. The WIFI is a great addition but needs reconfiguration and expansion. the staff who are very keen to help could do with some inhouse English training. Housekeepers could do with paying a little more attention when they clean the rooms - nothing a bit of PD wouldn't fix. Overall I would recommend this resort. Make sure you get a good rate through [the website] as the rack rate is a little steep. Also beware as even if you book through an agent they will still ask that you pay a 3% charge when using your credit card. Something I think [the website] should actually make you aware of. Not a lot of money but it's often the small things like this that annoy you more than they should.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The resort was very peaceful and private. The rooms were large, clean and well decorated and very good value for money. The resort is quite a way from the main strip in Mui Ne although the staff will call taxis for you.
Clean and nice spa/gym. Good food in the restaurant.
The resort was fine. Its ideal for people seeking to cocoon themselves away for a few days. This was not me. I spent all but the last morning of my few days out with friends, who fortunately had bikes to take me around on. Otherwise it is some distance both from Phan Thiet and the main tourist strip of Mui Ne - about half way between both near the Victoria resort. The resort's beach is mostly rocks at low tide. It is a 10 minute walk from the main road down to the resort, or call a taxi to pick you up, if you are arriving by open tour bus. Arriving late at night is not ideal. Worst thing was asking the resort to book bus tickets to Dalat and ending up on a bus trip from hell. I have written to White Sands to complain about this.
