Excellent location, good service and breakfast.
Hotel is located on a quiet lane, just a few steps from a major street, just one block from the MRT station. Everything is nearby. The room was quiet but very dark. The windows are deceiving from the outside, as they are blocked on the inside, so very little daylight can enter. Bathroom in room 501 is huge with a two-person whirlpool, and big glass shower. I did not like the heated toilet seat, which has directions only in Chinese, so the only way to turn it off is to pull the plug, which the housekeeper reinserted every day. There is no temperature control on the air conditioner, only fan speed. Bed is huge and comfortable, and room has coffee maker and refrigerator, and safe. Closet only had about 6 inches of hanging space because there is a support beam inside the closet. Free wired and wireless internet access is a plus, but wireless is unreliable. Bring your own ethernet cable. Free breakfast and laundry room are a big plus. Overall, highly recommended
it is a rather centrally located boutique like hotel, near the MRT .. takes you about 5 mins brisk walking to reach. Breakfast was good .. you have a choice of western/ eastern meal. The only setback was that the hotel is located along a rather untidy, dusty and filthy side road with construction going on. Fortunately, the walk from the hotel to the main road was rather short. It was a comfortable stay.
The only problem is there is no lobby in this hotel. The rooms are 5 star exept the size.
the room super clean with four star standard and near mrt station. Best for a good day rest.
Very Helpful staff. I would recommend this Hotel very much. Bhushan Mulpuri, Canada
should provide office facilities for hotel guest (i.e. computer portal with internet access. printer)
Very clean, friendly efficient service, great rooms at a good price except that the wireless internet did not work for me which is a problem if you need it but otherwise I had a good stay in a good hotel.
Will recommend anyone to Taipei to stay in Wish Hotel
Print out the map they have on their website. If you take one of the airport buses, make sure you ask for Ambassador Hotel. The names of the stops are called out in mandarin and it is the 3rd stop after the airport. The Ambassador Hotel should be on the other side of the street. Walk to the closest intersection to cross the street. You will see a 7-Eleven on the corner of lane 77 before getting to the Ambassador. Turn there, the hotel is one minute away. The staff were very nice with limited english. The room was small but functional&cozy. It was clean&new. The metro station is 5 minutes walk and there are great passes called TaipeiPass(for tourists). Alot of amenities, a safe and coffee maker. Ask for a room on a high floor to minimize noise. This is a good choice for the price at about 70$CAD per night tax included. We will certainly go back to Taiwan and if in Taipei, we will stay again at the Wish Hotel.
It is a wonderful and afforable place to stay in Taipei. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay in Wish Hotel Taipei and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Taiwan. It is a adorable little hotel with services of a five star.
We had a very nice stay in Taipei because of the very clean and well located Wish Hotel. Being frequent travellers for quite sometime now, this time, we travelled on a low budget. Because of Cielo's help, we didn't join any guided tours. We just bought an unlimited MRT one-day pass for only TW$200 (TW$50refundable) per person. With the guide of a map, we were able to go to a lot of places for 2 days. Everytime we go abroad, we see to it to enjoy the food and the culture. Eating at night markets even saved us more money. Suggested places to go to are Taipei 101, night markets, temples and spas (Hot Springs). Almost every place can be reached by MRT and bus. Airport transfer costs us only TW$110/person/way by airbus. Wish Hotel is nearby Ambassador Hotel where the airbus stops every half an hour. There are a lot of budget airlines going to Taipei. We really had a very educational and relaxing travel on a tight budget. Thank you to Wish Hotel for saving us money on our visit to Taipei.
Was pleasantly surprised and will certainly stay there again. I had the VIP room, not the size of a normal suite but fine and the price was right. The hotel is a little difficult to find so it is advisable to have the phone number.
Even though the hotel was a bit hard to find at first, I can really recommend this clean hotel to everyone. Service was good and facilities were up to date.
A nice and clean hotel. Located very near the MRT station. Good value for money. Staff is also very friendly and helpful
The hotel is small but the room is nice and clean. Not a bad choice for staying a few days in Taipei. It is rahter convenient and is near to the MRT station.
We have had a very enjoyable stay at this friendly, clean Hotel earlier this month. It is run on a bed and breakfast basis. The rooms are similar to those in an Australian or New Zealand [another hotel]. It is in the CBD almost next door to the posh [another Hotel] where two different international airport buses stop. This is an important consideration as the airport buses are very reasonably priced compared to the taxi alternative. It is also 5 minutes walk from the excellent "Taiwan Eye" traditional chinese theatre and it is surrounded by eating establishments.
Wish Hotel is a new hotel, opened in Oct., 2005. Our stay with it was a very good experience. The services were good and it was very clean. The facility exceeded our expectations. The location is pretty good as well, near a Taipei Metro station. However, you need to walk a little bit, about five to ten minutes, to get there. Overall, this hotel is a good choice. We highly recommend it.
