Getting there:Driving:-North and South bound from Pacific Highway:Bear left onto Ewingsdale Road.At the roundabout take the first exit onto Ewingsdale Road.Ewingsdale Road continues into Shirley Street.Wollongbar Motel is on the left opposite the hospital (very close to town). Bus:-The main bus station is located on Johnson Street outside the visitor centre. Wollongbar Motel is only a 10 minute walk from here. Continue north along Johnson Street toward the beach. Turn left at the roundabout at Lawson Street. Veer right at the next roundabout at Butler Street. Butler Street continues into Shirley Street. Wollongbar Motel is on your right opposite the hospital.Air:-Flights are available through Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas to the following airports:Ballina (30 mins south of Byron).Gold Coast - Coolangatta (60 mins north of Byron)Transfers can be easily arranged from both airports. Please contact us for assistance when making your booking.
Check-in Procedure:Reception is open from 8.00am until 7.00pm. Should you arrive prior to 2.00pm and your room is available, we will happily check you in early. Free luggage storage is available on the day of arrival and day of departure. Same day bookings must call to confirm check-in arrangements if arriving after 7pm.
Car parking:Free off street car parking is available with every room.
Child Policy:Children utilising a bed space will be charged as an adult. Portacots are available for hire.
Good Motel with spacious rooms. We were furthest away from the road so we heard no traffic noise. The private path to the beach was about 100 metres long. The manager was particularly helpful and pleasant. The only improvement I would suggest is to provide comfortable chairs for sitting in the evenings. Walk to the town centre is around 6 minutes - ideal.
Very clean Motel, very pleasant to stay here, close to eveything, but no noisy that is good thing, we arrived at the hotel the weather start rain and cold but the room is very warm and very good heater system, big bathroom, old style but super clean. Price is very good, will stay there again.

The hotel is not located in the city center, but is within a 7 minutes walk. The hotel staff was very kind and even upgraded our room because it was our honeymoon. Pricing was a bit high because of easter.
all good except the lights outside room 26 stayed on all night which made it hard to sleep everything else was excellent thanks
Good price, friendly staff. Rooms comfortable and pleasant. All access to Byron on foot. Walking path to beach, 5 minutes from nightlife and restaurants.

Clean rooms, central but relatively quiet location less than five minutes' stroll from the main street in town, really friendly and helpful staff (thank you Julie, Lisa and Tanya!) Note no iron and ironing board in rooms, but an iron and board is available at no cost in the coin-operated guest laundry. Highly recommended overall.
An average motel with a good swimming pool.
Very pretty motel in a great position - 10 minute walk into town. Continental breakfast was ok - could have been a bit more choice. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay at the Wollongbar again.
Good place if you are after a quick stay. Breakfast that was included was very ordinary. It does have good location as it is close to the beach and main streets of Byron. Staff could do with a smile!

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. Only problem was the internet did not work the whole time we were there and we would not have booked if there was no internet access as i needed to work.

Our stay at the Wollongbar Accommodation Byron Bay was most enjoyable. The Recption and Booking Facilties were excellent. The Staff (Stuart and Julie) were most helpful and a pleasure to meet. The Complex was very clean - neat and tidy. The Room No 23 was also very clean and tidy. The location was also excellent. Please Keep up your high standard.
