We stayed in an Executive city view tower room. Yes sthe rooms are dated, but the complex overall is great. Pier One restaurant and the Point Revolving restuarant have top notch food at a reasonable price for the location, service and quality (particularly the Point restaurant which was wonderful - however it too needs a spruce up into the 21st century) Staff are great, even the valet guys who helped us clean up the bottle of red which spilled in the boot of the car! Would stay again.
Very enjoyable stay at Wrest Point. All staff extremely pleasant and helpful. A Waters Edge Room so peaceful and quiet with great view and very easy access to outside area. Could not think of a thing that needs any improvement.

enjoyed very much value for money food excellent friendly staff
Reception staff very helpful and professional. Would recommend this hotel as a very good place to stay. The sevaral restaurants would suit those who are on a limited budget right up to those for whom money is no object. if you wish to travel into the city centre there are taxis and buses outside.
Excellent hotel, service top class, included valet parking which was awesome. Hotel restaurants also very good and since the hotel is also a casino plenty of entertaining options in house.
We have stayed here several times in the past. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was good and well looked after. The views from the hotel rooms are all good. Being just that little bit out of the city centre is quieter and the bus service is pretty frequent, although it's also a good walk into the city.
Great staff and great rooms only thing is Buffet Breakfast overpriced even staff commented on that fact but other than that a fantastic place to stay
We stayed in the Waters Edge , the Room was clean , the houskeeping was excellent , just a little bit dated. The concerige John who guided us to our room had such a refreshing attitude , Australian but Polite and very well spoken, he was very aware of the clients demeanour. There was some paintin work going on , the safety of which left much to be desired. The area was not blocked off or attended as the two tradies were 30 metres uo in the Cherry Picker.WorkCover Tasmania would certainly have had a field day if they had inspected the site at that particular time. We really enjoyed our stay at Wrest Point , and look foward to staying there again
Recommend this one
For an absolutely brilliant rate, I stayed at Wrest Point. I was in what is described as the "mountain side", a set of seperate rooms from the actual casino and it was marvellous. My room was big and quiet. The bathroom was fantastic and the bed was clean and comfortable. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and charming and I would highly recommend it.
This was our 2nd Christmas at Wrest Point and, once again, we couldn't fault the experience. The staff are wonderful and look after your every need. Christmas Lunch was spectacular and the staff who worked their Christmas Day could not be faulted. The hotel itself is looking a little dated, however, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free use of high speed broadband is a welcome bonus. The full breakfast in the coffee shop is the most comprehensive menu I've ever seen and, from memory, I think they have dropped the price. We are not gamblers so we like the fact that you have to look for the gaming areas. We highly recommend this hotel.
I stayed in the mountain side accommodation which is not in the main tower building of Wrest Point. It's right across the driveway & for the price I paid, was more than adequate. The room was spacious enough although the decor is dated, bed was comfortable, tv had Foxtel channels & bathroom was clean & everything was in good working order. A big plus was the fantastic lighting for the bathroom mirror which is sometimes missing from more expensive hotels!! I arrived early & was able to check in immediately & the staff were very helpful & friendly. It's about a $10 taxi ride to Salamanca Market or a few dollars more to the city centre. There is also a bus stop very close by or a ferry down by the Pier One Restaurant/Bar if you fancy other modes of transport! My one suggestion would be to make sure you get the shuttle bus service to the airport for $25 return as a taxi ride will set you back approx. $50 one way. All things considered, I was very happy with my stay & would return.
great rooms with views and casino
The facilities (bars, cafes, restaurant, casino) are very good and plentiful. Accommodation rooms were quite small (I tried both a harbour view and executive city view), however the views from both were great.
A great location to access Sandy Bay.
The hotel was not what I expected based on the description of the website. It was a motel in need of upgrades
The description of the hotel did not meet the motel room that we were given. It was clean but out-dated and lack the fundamentals described on your web site.
A bit old. Need upgrade.
our stay was great value for money and they where very helpfull when we had a problem
Very good, but would have liked to have breakfast included in the rate, even at a higher rate to include breakfast. Could not fault the hotel at all. The staff where very helpful and courteous.
