Wyndham Apollo Hotel Amsterdam

superb hotel..great location right on canals and easy walk to Van Gough museum and other attraction. Staff here were fantastic, this is a 5 star hotel at 4 star cost. restaurant excellent and very reasonable, we didnt want to leave.. would highly recommend and we will certainly stay again. this is one of the nicest hotels you will find anywhere and I spend 50 + nights a year in hotels .if you go to amsterdam dont miss this!

This Hotel is very nice and has a lovely quiet setting a little out of town and a short walk to the tram.

We had a great view from our room!

The rooms were clean and (partially) renewed. They were not too big but provided enough comfort. The reception hall was impressive and the lounge bar was nicely decorated. However, a fitness or other facilities were not available. It took a long time to check in and check out each time. Public transport was available near the hotel and it was also possible to go to the center by foot.

A very good value hotel. We were impressed with this site and the location and would stay here again. This is our second experience with golden tulip chain, and it is a good one. The level of service was beyond what we expected for the price we paid.

There are two things that I did not appreciate during my stay: the ridiculously high price of outgoing phone calls, and the even more excessive price of the wireless internet access. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and everything else was perfect. I higly and warmly recommend this hotel.

My only disappointment was that I had my room was not ready when I arrived which was after 4.00pm and the advise offered was" go and have a drink and it will be ready soon" In fairness the romm was ready shortly afterwards but my prioity on arrival aftertravelling is to have a shower and not a drink

Lovely situation.......but not easy to get to on public transport Gym not very well maintained

We had stayed at the Apollo Amsterdam when it was called Le Meridan Apollo last May and returned this May because we liked it so well. However, this year we had to pay 25 euros/day parking, last year parking was free. This year we had to pay 22 euros/person/day for breakfast, for a total of 88 euros. Last year they gave us one complimentary breakfast, including a mimosa, and the other day's breakfast was less than 44 euros! We had to pay 138 euros for parking and breakfast for two days! Ridiculous! Our room this year was in the 'patio level' which means we had no view....last year we overlooked the canal, which is lovely. It's not that close to downtown, but we enjoyed the hotel, view and free parking last year. The staff was mostly the same....very nice. Last year was great, but I don't think we'll return to the Apollo next time we travel to Amsterdam.

This hotel is an excellent hotel! The rooms were exceptionally clean. The price on [your website] was great. I paid a little over $120 on [your website] for a room and the standard charge per room per night at the hotel was 350 Euro per night (Around $500 USD). It was an exceptional deal! The service was great and you could take tours directly from the hotel. This was very convenient and the tours were covered a lot of sights and were not an all day affair riding on a bus. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The restaurant was wonderful and the hotel bar had wonderful service. The view from the hotel bar is of the marina for the hotel. It was great to have a drink sit and talk and look at the beautiful view of the marina in the canal. In addition, the staff was courteous & friendly and providing excellent customer service. I will definitely stay again and I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. It was a wonderful experience.

I have stayed in this hotel more than one time. The location of the hotel is very convinient and the breakfast is excellent. The administrative staff is very professional and service can classified as high- level.

Enjoyed our stay it was quietly situated and about 15 mins walk from the museums. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Our room had a nice view over the canal and was what you would expect for the price we paid.

On the edge of the city central area, but very quiet and relaxing; A 10-15 minute walk to the museums.

In a quiet suburb about a 10 minute tram ride from city centre but shops / eating places in Appolostraat are close by. It is a great place to relax after a hectic day in the city. Great restaurant, all staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We will certainly return.

The hotel staff treated us very well. Excellent service. We had a room overlooking the canals which was lovely too. The hotel is in a very quiet location but just 15-25 minutes from the city centre by tram. We only stayed one weekend but I would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would stay there again on returning to Amsterdam.
