It's value for money and just 3 minutes walk to the Chai Wan MTR station. Shopping complexes are within walking distance to Y-Loft. A lot of stuffs can be purchased from here rather than the crowded city centre. :)
The MTR station is CHAI WAN, 100 meters from the hotel. The location is 15 minutes from Hong Kong center. Rooms are very large and clean. Some have a balcony on a little field of grass on top of the building!

It was really an enjoyable stay, the staff there were very welcoming and polite, even showed me the way to the elevator at her own initiative. Though it was a pity they don't provide any slippers or toothbrushes, but I am definitely going to stay there again.
Good clean hotel. Easy access to the MTR, only 20 minutes from causeway bay. Good price for the size of the rooms and it's cleanliness. The reception of the hostel is at the 12th floor of the Youth Square building. All rooms have free (filtered) internet.
The room is very clean and comfortable but the service of the coffee shop is very very bad. The staff in the coffee shop was very impolite and looks like he's not willing to do the work. Suggest not to eat in the coffee shop. The staff in the front desk was very polite and helpful. Will go back to stay.
Overall it was a great experience, very friendly staff as soon as we arrived, very helpful. My only complaint is the noise of housekeeping very early in the morning, as they checked the rooms on our floor the doors would slam shut. Not something you want to hear too early in the morning. Other than that, great place.
Excellent Hotel . . . Great staff . . . well located . . . good price . . . Will definitely stay here again.
i like the room here but i dont know why the room is a bad smell.
great, colourful place, easy to reach by subway (albeit a bit out of the way), and good price. Hong Kong Island is also a much better place to stay than Kowloon I found out and then this hostel would be my first choice.
very nice hotel with that price far from central of town but still good place, MTR station is very close..so easy to go to everywhere laundry service also helpfull and.. free internet in 12th floor also good!!maybe more than 1 computer will be great. will come back in next visit :)
Definitely a cool and funky place to stay! The only downside was the 20 minute tube ride to Central, but if you're going to stay a while, and spend most of the day out, then it's well worthwhile. Rooms were big, and very well appointed. Staff was efficient if not friendly, and the area is very cool.
Best Hostel I've even lived and I did so a lot in many-many countries!! I would highly-recommend everyone who planning to visit HK stay there. I spent at the Y-loft 7 nights: service was great, rooms by itself very clean, advanced with big plasma TV and soft beds. Staff is very friendly and helpful! For many reasons it can be compared to really good 3-4* Hotels.
Y-Loft Hostel is in Chai Wan (check google map)The building has walkway to the MTR station & shopping mall. Brand new with large rooms, super comfortable/clean & best facilities of any hostel in HK. Has a small gym, laundry with washing machines etc, wireless, aircon & heating & most rooms with twin beds, soon will have larger rooms with 3 beds & adjoining room to increase to 6 bed dorm. Large bathroom, high water pressure, TV with a few western channels. Location is 20 mins by MTR to central HK. Nearby is 7/11, supermarket, banks, local restaurants set in local area. The staff at Y-loft speak very good english and provide 5 star hotel style service even remembering names of guests. Probably best value for money accommodation in HK if you don't mind to travel the MTR to the city. Not a place to meet people if you are the usual backpacker looking for company. Don't come home from the city after 1am as you will have to catch a very expensive taxi ride. Overall I rate Y-Loft 9 out of 10.
A very good place to stay with great price offered. The only bad point is that it is too far from the central area.
At the end of the MTR line, Chai Wan, but easy access to city with no problem. 3 munites walk to the Department Store and MTR, 7-11 at the corner on the street with local shops in the quiet area. The room comes with 2 single beds, LCD TV, small fridge, 4 coffee cups, an electric kettle and a safe in the small closet by the door. Bathroom is ok with standing shower. The rooms space is quite good compares to HK standard size. Worth the money with the price and the friendly staff. Our 3-day unlimited MTR plus a round-trip Airport Express cards became very useful with a lot of on and off the subway from the hotel which is quite far from main attractions, best deal for our 4 days 3 nights stay in HK this time.
