You really do get it all at Karaka Tree - a Qualmark 4 star motel superbly presented and offering fantastic value for money, excellent customer service and spacious, comfortable rooms to suit everybody's needs. We are set in attractive grounds directly across the road from Lake Taupo with FREE car parking & we are the only motel in Taupo with geothermal hot mineral water hot pools in EVERY room.
We have 24 spacious Spa Studios which are located upstairs & 1 Bedroom Spa Suites which are located on the ground floor. Every room is large & the One Bedroom Spa Suite offers a seperate bedroom and lounge area, as well as a private courtyard area with your fabulous geothermal hot mineral water hot pool. The Spa Studio has a seperate room with a geothermal hot mineral hot pool. All rooms have an en-suite with a vanity & walk-in shower cubicle.
All rooms are serviced daily and have kitchenettes, microwaves, tea/coffee, hairdryers, iron/ironing boards, Sky TV & clock radios. Wireless Broadband internet access is available.
Cooked, continental or light breakfasts are delivered daily in-room on request.
We have restaurants within easy walking distance and we are just a short drive into Taupo city centre with its unique shopping, restaurants and clubs. All rooms are non smoking.

Karaka Tree Motel is in a very easy to find location, we are on State Highway 1, (left hand side) 2 doors south of the State Highway 5 (Napier turnoff). |

Check-in is usually any time after 1.30pm. Credit card details are required at time of check in. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival.
The Reception desk closes at 10pm. |

Our relaxed feel is perfect for families. Children aged under 12 are free when using existing bedding, or $20 extra when a roll-away bed is required. All extra charges to paid directly to the motel. Extra guests agreed by the motel are an extra $15 each per night. There is a $20 charge for a roll-away bed. Cots & highchairs are FREE and available on request.
Sorry, we do not access facilities in our Spa Studios or One Bedroom Spa Suites.
