"Just spent 5 nights at Casa Vaiven at beginning and end of trip to Argentina. It's a wonderful place where we were made to feel very welcome and at home. I would definately recommend it to others. San Telmo is definately the best place to stay in BA and Casa Vaiven is just a couple of mins walk from everything but in a more relaxed part which is great." - Tom Dixon
"Two very lovable cats live at Casa Vaiven so if your not a cat lover and donīt wish to share their place with them then this isnīt the place for you.
The two young girls who work the front office are a delight and very helpful so too is Celia the owner.
Would stay there again when next in Buenos Aires. " - Trevor Chant
"Absolutely uniquely amazing hotel as far as design. Staff was very friendly as well. It was located about 7 blocks away from the San Telmo square, which has really cool arts fairs and tango shows at night. A+ for adventure, but girls may want to avoid walking around late at night here." - joshua huddleston
"Sound carried. You could always hear people coming in at night and getting up in the morning. The cheaper rooms had no window, I think it would be well worth paying for the better rooms. Apart from that I liked it. From the political talks over breakfast with people from a host of nations to dancing in the evening on the stone floor of the vast common room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff; from helping with putting credit on mobile phones to advice on where to go. The receptionist was only too happy to text her pals to find out the best places to go that evening. I will stay there again." - Anonymous
