They are undergoing a major renovation at the moment so it's a bit tricky to find the front door, but the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Grand Hyatt Melbourne is located at the 'top end' of prestigious Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne's central business, theatre and shopping districts. Conveniently close to the city's arts, parks and entertainment precincts and major convention facilities.
The hotel has an extensive range of facilities to capture the imagination and requirements of all its guests.
In July 2007, Grand Hyatt Melbourne commenced an AUD$40 million renovation. Major lobby renovation will take place Monday through Saturday 7:30am to 6:00pm. Currently the hotel's breakfast buffet has been relocated to a luxurious function room on level 8. The hotel's Grand Club lounge is available for all hotel guests who wish to entertain clients or guests for lunch and dinner. During the redevelopment, the Grand Club lounge is open from 8pm each evening as a full service bar to all guests. Our new lobby, restaurant and bar will be open in October 2008, while the rest of the redevelopment including the opening of the Residence will be complete in January 2009. Hotel located on the corner of Collins and Russell streets.
From Melbourne Airport: Leave airport via exit. This forms the Tullamarine Freeway. Continue 16km to Flemington Road exit (near red poles and giant yellow arch over freeway). Continue up Flemington Road for 2km until roundabout. Go round to the right into Elizabeth Street. Continue 1.8km to Collins Street. Turn left at Collins Street. Continue two blocks uphill to Russell Street. Turn right at Russell Street then left into the hotel entrance.
From Spencer Street Train Station: turn east up Collins Street. Turn right into Collins Street then left into hotel entrance. |
