"I stayed in Hallam Hotel in January 2008. Everything was quite ok, but our room was in the basement, so underground traffic was heard and in the morning breakfast-staff started to disturb my sleep. Breakfast in the hotel was as breakfast is in London:) Anyway, who wants to go shopping in Oxford street and wants a place to sleep for a couple of days with no high expectations, Hallam Hotel is good enough." - maarika mots
"A good basic place to stay. It's in a good central location and you'd want to be out and about rather than in your room. Breakfast stretched the definition of 'Full English' with just egg, bacon and sausage on the plate. Be aware that there are major building works opposite. I'd stay again provided I got a good rate - I'd not consider it value at the rack rate." - Anonymous
"Rooms need complete renovation in order to feel a little comfort in the tiny rooms" - Magda Isshak
"The lights all fused in my room on my last night and of course there was no-one to deal with this. The room needs a very big make-over - I know the price is good but the room and shower pod were very bad." - madeleine bracey
