"An old favourite of mine with a recent 'once over lightly' spruce up (paint & carpets not much more), its appeal is its location ... very central if you need to be in the city. Staff seem friendly enough and helpful ... unable to provide a morning wakeup call though. A good option for the price if all you want is a bed, a shower and an average feed. " - Tony Palmer
"Rooms need renorvating. Dinning room was shabby. Some staff need to learn to speak better English to make themselves understood and to better understand the clientels needs. No toilet brush to clean the toilet with. Very noisy at night but walking distance to everything." - Anonymous
"Excellent location for a low to medium range price" - David Mitchell
"Reception staff were lovely (friendly while still remaining professional), room service was prompt and food was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at the Abel Tasman again." - Anonymous
