Consumer Reviews and Rating

"It was indicated many times that the place would be spotless. The place was not spotless, the toilet was dirty, the carpet had pieces of dirt that I could see and the blanket provided was visibly dirty. Unfortunately, we booked the room when there was work going on across the road. This was not indicated when we booked the place (I called the place prior to booking online and there was no mention of it, might be my fault I didn't ask.). Upon arriving during a work day (Friday) we were greeted with a room that vibrated so much we could not enter the bathroom as it hurt our ears and the microwave had to be removed from its position due the the fact that it would not stop shaking and making an excessive amount of noise. We came for a relaxing and quiet weekend, luckily the work stopped on the weekend. Overall, I have stayed in motels with the same star rating and have been much more satisfied with the quality." - Anonymous

"The hotel is a bit out of Katoomba between the railway and the main highway, so trucks and trains made a good deal of noise, as they do everywhere. It is too far to walk to Katoomba and it is a busy highway, so you cannot walk and must have a car. In Katoomba itself, parking near the attractions is charged and we thought it expensive. The rooms are OK but showing a bit of wear. Staff very good and helpful. The restaurant only serves breakfast, but it was excellent! Very wet and cold weather when we stayed there and, like some other motels, the heating works very hard to make it comfortable. Typically, the day we left was warm and sunny and the hotel looked much better in the sun! For us, 3 adults with a car, it worked fine and we had no problems." - Anonymous

"This hotel is located by the side of a main freeway about 15-20 minutes walk outside the town centre. Service is non existent as you are required to check in using an automated system. Rooms are small and of poor quality. I checked out the day I arrived and moved to one of the better options within the town. I would definitely recommend that you look elsewhere. " - Anonymous

"This motel is situated between the railway and The Pacific Highway. The hotel is probably insulated, the noise was not too bad. The room is big enough. In the building is no restaurant but a good restaurant is opposite the Highway and you can go to Katoomba, 5 minutes by car away. Our opion the motel is value for money." - Kornelis van Spijk
