"I was very pleasantly surprised with the accomodation - it's location to the vineyards we had already planned to visit, the service was informal but professional, the villa was more than comfortable with great views & the shuttle service meant the difference when enjoying those great Hunter wines with dinner.
Having breakfast included in the cost of our room made the visit all the more cost effective. We wanted this to be a speacial occasion for my Mum & it was everything & more than we expected. Thank you for a great couple of days.

"Good hotel if you like to be left to you own divices? I think it could do with a really good bar as it only really has a TINY one, and maybe a good shop as well as the only shop we can find is the Pro shop and you can imagine the prices there! Considering the rooms are pretty much self contained i think a good shop would be of much service.

"We have been staying at this resort several times. It is really nice resort with excellent spacious apartments and good facilities. The only downside is that they removed all kithchen utencils from their apartments and if you want to use the kitchen, you must pay for them. The prce is going up but the service is getting limited. Otherwise great palce to stay in." - Anonymous

| Getting There: |
- From the centre of SydneyTravel north along National 1 (F3) freeway towards Newcastle (approximately 1 hour)
- Turn off the (F3) freeway at Cessnock/Kurri Kurri exit and proceed to Cessnock
- As you enter Cessnock along Aberdare Road, turn right at the first set of traffic lights onto Vincent Street (following the signs to Branxton). Proceed to the end of Vincent Street. Turn left at traffic lights onto Wollombi Road and then first right at the traffic lights onto Allandale Road, passing swimming pool on the left and McDonalds Restaurant on the right.
- Proceed along Allandale Road and you will pass the Cessnock Airport on the left-hand side.
Turn left 500 metres past Airport into Broke Road.
- Follow Broke Road for approximately 3 Kilometres to the "T" intersection. Turn left at the "T" intersection onto McDonalds Road. Remain on this road, and you will find Cypress Lakes Resort (Thompsons Road) on your right hand side (after Brokenwood and Tamburlaine Wineries) |
