The $45 million redevelopment of Grand Hyatt Melbourne is nearing completion. From October 8th, guests will enter the spectacular new upper lobby via the Collins Street entrance and luxury retail arcade. Access to the upper lobby via the Russell Street entrance will not be available until late October. Valet parking is available at the Collins Street entrance during this period. Exciting new restaurant, Collins Kitchen, and new bar, RU-CO, will be open for this year’s Spring Racing Carnival.
Small areas of work will continue in the Russell Street porte cochere area until December, 2008.
The new centre of luxury, prestigiously located in the heart of Collins Street, Melbourne's epicentre of high fashion and fine dining. Conveniently close to arts, parks, theatre, casino and convention facilities, the hotel offers 547 guest rooms including Grand rooms, Executive, Deluxe, Diplomatic Suites and a Presidential Suite.
Guests can also select a Grand Club room located on the upper levels of the hotel. Grand Club guests enjoy complimentary evening cocktails and canapés, as well as a complimentary breakfast in the privacy of the Grand Club lounge.

Hotel located on the corner of Collins and Russell streets.
From Melbourne Airport: Leave airport via exit. This forms the Tullamarine Freeway. Continue 16km to Flemington Road exit (near red poles and giant yellow arch over freeway). Continue up Flemington Road for 2km until roundabout. Go round to the right into Elizabeth Street. Continue 1.8km to Collins Street. Turn left at Collins Street. Continue two blocks uphill to Russell Street. Turn right at Russell Street then left into the hotel entrance.
From Spencer Street Train Station: turn east up Collins Street. Turn right into Collins Street then left into hotel entrance. |
