Hamurana Country Estate is a boutique country hotel where guests can enjoy the grandeur of the manor house, its gardens and lifestyle farm, along with warm personal service and fine food.
A long, tree-lined driveway sets the scene for a perfect welcome to the 5-star Qualmark-rated manor house. After a personal greeting from the young Kiwi owner hosts and a tour of the luxurious amenities, guests can refresh in their room - one of 12 individually decorated ensuite guest rooms.
Afterwards guests can choose to take a gentle stroll through the estate’s grounds with the resident Giant Schnauzers, and enjoy the beautiful views to Lake Rotorua.
A fully-licensed bar is available for pre-dinner drinks and while dining in the exclusive à la carte restaurant (summertime only), awarded the 2006/2007 New Zealand Beef and Lamb Hallmark of Excellence. For that special touch, guests can choose to conclude their evening with a cosy nightcap by the fire or on the terrace under the stars.

From Rotorua Airport:
Turn left out of the gate and continue for 9km. At the north end of the lake turn left at Mourea, following the signs to Ngongotaha. Hamurana Country Estate is on the right, a few minutes after passing the Hamurana Store.
By Helicopter:

1 hour from Auckland airport
From Ngongotaha:
We are very easy to find. On State Highway 5 just north of Rotorua take the turnoff for Ngongotaha at the main intersection with a round-about. Head through the Ngongotaha Village and continue on for 5km where you will find the entrance to Hamurana Country Estate on your left at No. 415 Hamurana Road. Should you get to the Tauranga Direct Road you have driven past. |
