"We arrived (Sept 06) to find that this property is right in the middle of one of Edinburgh's largest construction sites. That would probably have put me off if I'd known prior to booking. But our concern was quickly overcome by the quality of the accomodation and the view - stunning. The staff could not have been more helpful and the shuttle bus service made it easy to get in and out of the town centre. I'd definitely recommend Harbour Apartments." - Wendy McGeachy

Location somewhat far out but shuttle bus operates to the city and apartments are within reasonable walking distance of the Ocean Terminal and all the developments in Leith itself. "Excellent value especially for families or groups. The location is not central and there is alot of building work going on but we knew this when we booked and it wasn't a problem. Minor items like replacing light bulbs and providing mirrors in the bedrooms could be attended to. We encountered a problem of being locked out of the main entrance but this was quickly rectified by the staff. Built in 2006 these stylish apartments have lift access to all levels; two comfortable bedrooms which can be arranged as twins or doubles on request. The apartments have private bathrooms with powerful showers and bath; fully fitted kitchens and have a comfortable lounge with a dining area, TV and DVD player. All NON-SMOKING
The Harbour apartments are located on a stylish new development in the vibrant area of Leith while the Edinburgh City Centre is just 20 minutes away. This cosmopolitan area has a wide variety of restaurants, cafs and bars, with something to please every taste.
Access to the Next Generation Gym Sports and Spa Facilities, secure parking - the Harbour Apartments offer a real alternative to a hotel room. Run on a hotel basis with a minimum one night stay we offer 3 Star accommodation and the freedom and flexibility of your own apartment for the same price as a hotel room.
Please note the Leith redevelopment project, however in the meantime some apartments do have views which include work sites as well as the Firth of Forth.

On your own
From Waverly Bridge cross diagonally right over Princes Street onto South St Andrew Street, Take a left onto St Andrew Square, then take the first right. Follow St Andrew Square down, take the second right onto Queen Street, head along to York Place. At traffic signals continue forward until Picardy Place roundabout. Turn left (1st exit) at the roundabout and head down past The Edinburgh Playhouse (on your right) until you reach another roundabout. Go straight over (1st exit) and follow Leith Walk until the road forks. At traffic signals turn left onto Great Junction Street. Take the second left onto Lindsay Road. Follow until a roundabout, take the 2nd exit, following signs for The Western Harbour Development, The Element and The Next Generation Gym.
Follow this road until you reach the final block. |
