When travelling to a small tropical island, half the fun is getting here.
There 2 mains ways to get to Gili Trawangan.
If you are travelling from Bali, there are daily domestic flights to Lombok International Airport, in Praya. A scenic 2 hour car ride through the cities and villages of Lombok takes you to Teluk Kodek Wharf then the infamous 10 minute speedboat ride to Gili Trawagan.
Alternately, if you can’t seem to pull yourself away from the sea, you can take one of the many Fastboat rides available from Bali. These usually depart twice a day in the morning and afternoon. They take 2 hours from Bali directly to Gili Trawangan Public Harbour. From here, you can catch a hose/cart (cidomo) to our doorstep. Most Fastboat include hotel pick-ups and drop-offs free of charge from most areas in Bali.

A “no car or motorbike” policy, to keep the peace and reduce pollution, with the only modes of transport being horse & cart (cidomo) or bicycle.
