Built in the early 1800’s Zetland Country House is situated overlooking Cashel Bay in the heart of Connemara surrounded by acres of garden. The House originally built as a sporting lodge derives its name from the Earl of Zetland, a regular guest and Lord Viceroy to Ireland in the last century. The cuisine, with an emphasis on local seafood, is second to none. From Galway City take the ring road around the city and onto the N59 (towords Clifden) to Oughterard, Maam Cross and Recess. Approx 3 miles past Recess there will be a left turn which will be signposted for Cashel & Carna. Approx 7 miles along this road there is a right turn which ill be signposted for Zetland House Hotel, the hotel is on the right hand side of the road.
