"I was deeply dissatisfied with the service at the Guang Sha Hotel Guangzhou. When I arrived at 8pm, there were no English speaking personnel on duty. The front desk personnel refused to contact their Sales Office to confirm my reservation and put the onus on me to prove my voucher was legitimate. I was told by one front desk personnel, who was called-in from off-duty, there were no rooms available, when I insisted my voucher was genuwine. This hotel had no English speaking channels, Chinese only menus, Chinese only speaking waiters, and all bills were written in Chinese only (how does one suppose to know what they are signing?). During dinner, one guest had to solicit the help of my Chinese friend in the order of their meal, because the waitress could only speak Chinese. In short, this hotel is not ready to accomodate international guests. Therefore, it's my sincere recommendation for this hotel to be temporarily removed from [website] website, until it can improve their service." - Anonymous
"Good location beside airport. No room service or restaurant, but small shop where to buy noodles and hotel gives hot water. U get what u pay for. " - Jan-Ove Helge Welitz
"The greatest advantage is that it provides transfers from the airport to the hotel and also from the hotel to the airport. It also provides free breakfast which really helps if the guests have to catch an early flight." - Anonymous
"The hotel was very helpful organising the shuttle bus late at nite.
A tip to other travellers: I approached a hotel booking service centre near the international exit at the Airport, some 50 m from the McDonalds outlet, and for 2 RMB they phoned the hotel and got the hotel's shuttle sent to pick me up at 10:30 pm." - Anonymous
