"we stayed at the montecitorio for 4 nights and had a fabulous time. there is no restaurant or bar but considering you are a 2 min walk from everything in rome it doesnt matter also it means u get your breakfast brought to ur room every morning. the night receptionist was the most pleasant and helpful man and really makes your stay. the only problem is it is 2 flights of stairs up which can be a bit much on your legs after a day of sightseeing but it is so central it doesnt matter. i would definitely recommend this hotel" - orla quigg
"Excellent Location!!! This hotel is best for walking everywhere! We were given a room on the 4th floor in the block next to the reception block and the room was really nice. Our room was for three of us and it was only 2 of us thus we had extra space. The room was really nice and clean. There are quite a few doors you need to pass to get to the room but after you go through the first time then its easy to find your way. We didn;t really like breakfast and in the morning we could hear other residents talking outside our room. The location of the hotel is a ten! Just a five minute walk to the spanish steps and fontana di trevi. We walked to the Colosseum and even to the vatican city just a 25 minute walk and walking in Rome is really nice if the weather is nice! I would definitely go back to this hotel. Fiumicino:train bring to Rome station (35 min 10€).Than you can take a taxi,use our transfer(on request 20€),take metro.For metro,line A(direction Battistini),get off at Spagna stop.Our hotel is 200-m walk away(1€).You can take taxi(ca.20 km),cost 50-55€.We offer transfer(on request)to and from the airport(60€).From motorway,exit Via Salaria(SS4)direction city.Continue Via Salaria for 10km 'til crossroads with Via Pinciana:turn in this street and continue for 1km and you will drive by Villa Borghese(public parking).After driving past the park's entrance, you will reach the entrance of car park(about 12€day).Than,an escalator will take you to P.zza di Spagna and the hotel, on Via delle Convertite, is a short walk away. By train The hotel is reachable from Rome station,Termini.At Termini you can take a taxi, use our transfer(on request 20 €)or take metro.
