"Kath's Room" Decorated in Burgundy is a large room with a queen bed and ensuite, this room is disability friendly.
This room converts to our Bridal Suite, or just Romantic stays, by prior arrangement we can arrange Champagne, chocolates or what your heart desires.
Each room gives a history of its original owners.

The Parlour Room (Theme of Teddy Bears)
"The Parlour" Decorated in Heritage green, a large room with a queen bed and ensuite.
We invite you to sit in the bay window and take in the view of the mountains especially "Sleeping Beauty" the mountain range in which the Huon Valley rests. The room has a theme of Teddy bears.

"What a fantastic little spot. The owners of this cottage could do no more to make you feel welcome. Their knowledge of the surrounding area and local tourism was great right down to the accuracy of of times and distances to various locations. We were treated to a feast of local crayfish before retiring to the sweetest room. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone passing through the Huon Valley" - Linda Byrne

"The cottage is located in a lovely spot overlooking the Huon River. It's a comfortable distance from Hobart (about half hour drive or so) and the Tahune Air Walk and Hastings Caves to the south make for an excellent day trip. Franklin (5 minutes away) has some nice places to eat, and there's a supermarket at nearby Huonville. We ended up staying two nights there and had a very enjoyable visit. Definately recommended.

Our 1926 Federation Cottage, over looks the Huon River & Sleeping Beauty.
Huon Franklin Cottage has been fully restored to its former beauty. offering modern conveniences without loosing the old-world charm.
Afternoon tea on arrival.
Settle into one of our two rooms we have to offer.
"The Parlour " or "Kath's Room"
Both rooms are large with queen beds and ensuites, electric blankets, hairdryers, individual air-conditioning, individual comfort is also enhanced with feather pillows plus extras and duvets, luxury bath towels, TV, VCR plus a video library.
A hearty continental breakfast is arranged in our breakfast room or on the balcony over looking The Huon River a cooked breakfast (is extra) the morning paper will be there also.
We are licenced.
Over 6 eating places in Franklin, The Tavern, The Lady Franklin hotel, Bistro, Aqua Grill sea food,plenty of choices all close by.
We have a great HOT SPA which is available free of charge for you to relax & enjoy, complimentry SPA pack, robes available.
Our mini gym fitted with a tread mill, exercise bike & weights.

Huon Franklin Cottage is situated 8 kilometers further South of Huonville (35 mins south of Hobart) .
Traveling south through Franklin we are 1 klm south of the Post Office on the right on the hill over looking the Huon River.
The lovely town of Franklin was the first town settled in the Huon Valley and still retains some original architectural buildings.
Your stay in our cottage is close to the southern attractions, Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Thermal spring, Luna River Gem Stones, Glow Worm Caves, Ida Bay Railway,
Take a Boat ride down the Huon River on the Southern Contessa or a jet boat ride or visit the Apple Museum and many more.
We can arrange guided tours.
