"we thought it was fantastic! perfect location - close to oxford st and close to Victoria St with brilliant cafes. Also, well within walking distance from the CBD.
The restaurant and bar are absolutely brilliant! Great food, great wine list and spirit selection.
We will definitely be back!" - Katherine Bradley
"This hotel was a real disappointment. We booked a "fancier" hotel for our 10 year anniversary, and were really disappointed. They don't even have a toilet for use, or a place where you can change when you arrive if your room isn't ready. We'd just had an overnight flight to Australia, and wanted to freshen up and change into shorts as it was such a lovely day already (at 7 or 8am). They sent us down the road just to be able to carry out what ought to have been a simple task! I couldn't believe it. The reception and communal hallways are painted black and feel very dark and unwelcoming. Definitely not worth the 120 pounds plus price-tag. The room was nice enough, but the hotel did not live up to expectations, sadly. I wouldn't rush to go back again, or to recommend it to others." - Katie Sell
"Hotel seems to be getting abit tatty now, appears to have been once the trendy place to stay and has probably now been surpassed by shiney new venues. Compact rooms have beds that are really too small but otherwise it's quite a comfortable hotel with very dim lighting particularly kind to hungover eyes. Very entertaining to see the clientele in the bar some of whom are trying rather too hard " - Emily Yeatman
"The staff are amazing, they are young, hip and willing to do almost anything to keep the guests happy. " - Anonymous
