"Could not fault this hotel in any way. The family that run the hotel could not be more hospitable.
the location is in the mountains, so if you want to explore you would need a car. If you just want a relaxing getaway then this is the perfect choice, quiet, scenic and very comfortable. the food at the hotel is excellant and very reasonably priced.

"The scenery surrounding the hotel is absolutely astounding. Fuipiano Imagna is situated at the top of one of the alps, and does take over an hour to get there from Bergamo. There is also not much to do in the village. Wrongly advertised as near Milan which is a couple of hours away. Taxis are expensive, so make the best use of public transport, which is very cheap and goes to the hotel. The owner is a money grabber, so watch out. Fuipiano is a small village, about 200 people, situated at the top of the Imagna Valley,
a quite place at 50 minutes from BERGAMO and 1 hour from COMO LAKE and BELLAGIO.
In this little place, since 1959, Canella Family has run this Hotel called MODERNO
and they still do their best to look after you as well as possible during your stay at the hotel, especially with their traditional cooking .
The Hotel has 16 little new rooms with phone, television, private bathroom and panoramic balcony .
At the lower floor there is the Bar and a Restaurant always open. Private parking and garage for motorbikers.
A very quite place and a starting point for mountain excursions or visiting the lakes (Lecco and Iseo) or Bergamo and Milan.

This is a superb/spotless hotel in a quite village. It has a superb location and the staff are first rate. I would recommend the Hotel to all travellers visiting this region, Italy, especially as the room rates are so competive

We received a most warm and friendly welcome on our arrival,and which was always there.The rooms were spotless,comfortable,warm and with a fine veiw. The food was excellent. I would recomend the hotel to anybody visiting the area.I will be back, even allowing for the corkscrew journey on the road |

Coming from the airport follow the road to Lecco, and then to Valle Brembana-Imagna until Alme’.
Arrived at Villa D’Alme’ keep your left to VALLE IMAGNA untill you reach S.Omobono.
There search at your right a Blue indication to FUIPIANO.
From here there are 6 km passing through Locatello.
Fuipiano is 30 Km from Bergamo (50’’ min.) and 65 from Milan(1’20), 48 km to Lecco and it’s lake. (50’’ min. from the Orio al Serio airport). |
