"We found the rooms at the Sarayi to be very spacious and well appointed. This was the first room that we had a radio in, something that we missed throughout our whole trip! The staff were friendly and helpful.
One thing that we noticed throughout Australia (and Fiji) is that in most hotel/motel rooms do not have alarm clocks, or even in most cases just an ordinary clock. As we didn't bring a travel clock with us, this proved to be a bit of a challenge, especially in the morning when we were deciding to get up or not!" - Anonymous

"After the description of this hotel as having a restaurant, bar and spa etc. Every thing in the hotel was closed!!! The owner had gone away leaving the cleaner to sort me out on arrival (no receptionist). The the staff that were there were very helpful and friendly when they were around.

A beachfront boutique hotel in the exclusive Cairns suburb of Palm Cove, Saraya’i (the palace of the Great Barrier Reef) offers accommodation to suit all budgets. Our rooms range from low cost self contained accommodation up to luxurious one bedroom ocean view apartments with spa baths.
The “palace” has a rooftop swimming pool and spa area with magnficent mountain views, and an outdoor entertainment area overlooking the ocean and nearby islands.
Our tour desk offers discounts on most tours, and can organise reasonably priced car rental for you. Watersport equipment hire (catamarans, canoes, waterskis, jetskis) is available on the beach, only 10 metres from the hotel, double island kayak tours leave from the beach daily.
All units are fully self contained with airconditioning, kitchenette, tv and telephone. Choose from:

Palm Cove is only a 25 minute drive north from Cairns international and domestic airports, and 30 minutes from Cairns city centre. There are taxis and shuttle services available from the airports to take you to and from your accommodation. Hire cars can also be arranged at the airport. Buses going to town and other beaches leave from just outside the hotel. |
